<gets up from lounge grumbling>

Well this BBQ certainly leaves something to be desired.

<gets out can of gasoline, and tosses into the pathetic excuse for a fire>

HEY!!!  Herr Burt.  You forgot to tell them that you made PFs for the Feds!   Two kinds!   The photon boats with 8 photons each. And the drone boats with one scatter pack, 6 type E drone racks, and a drone contrrol rating of 48.

Ah that shoud do it.  Nothing like a good BBQ.

Looks like nobody has any kind words (or words of any kind?)  for the WER's and KE's. Maybe if they were cheaper to cloak they would have some popularity. Otherwise travel in numbers. Perhaps there should be no rank requirements to run a WE fleet.

As much as it pains me to agree with Cleaven, maybe cloak costs should be lowered on all non-Kestral hulls for a test server.  Cloak is not as effective as it was in SFB so maybe it should only cost 75% as much power?

Curious... how effective is the SFB cloak?

SFC doesn't use the damage reduction chart from SFB and seeking weapons keep lockon WAY better in SFC.  Damage Reduction simple meant that all weapons did less damage to a cloaked ship.

Well thank you J'inn the BBQ was lacking something I am sure this will spice things up... Oh and would you be so kind as to lure Fluf and Mat down here and then take away their Nip/Donuts... I mean it couldn't get any better than releasing these two Kzin on everyone after they find out they have been robbed of their Nip and Donuts

Just don't take any notice of Hooch if he tries to tell you about SFB cloaking.

TraceyG notices that J'inn has run out of ginn again... and out of nowhere appears another unopened bottle from the esky she's sits atop of beside J'inn.

"This fire isnt looking too good, KAT!" remarks TraceyG.

Refilling his glass, J'inn ponders upon what might spice things up a little. Hmmm, the Fed PF's trick didn't work, the tin of gasoline is almost empty, but the thread is yet young.
He thinks to himself, "Well, self, if something doesnt happen soon... this gin will put me to sleep... any ideas TraceyG?"

J'inn reclines back in his chair, and closes his eyes, waiting.

He is startled when all of a sudden he hears music being played from his old tapedeck he hasn't seen in years, its playing an ancient melody with slow trumpets and raunchy trombone tones.
"I think I might have an idea" whispers TraceyG seductively.

J'inn sits up to hear the sound of zipper being unzipped and looks up to see TraceyG atop the esky, and almost drops the ginn glass when her jacket is hurled at him! A few little twists and turns later, J'inn yells, "Yeah baby!!" and doesnt bother to duck when the skirt lands on his head. TraceyG turns around and slowly begins to unfasten the bra clip, when J'inn sniffs the air and smells something burning...

He wakes up with a start to see his feet have caught on fire! "Agggggggh!"

"I was wondering when you'd notice..." TraceyG says, right before a very large bucket of cold water lands all over the beleagured KAT!! J'inn cries again, "Agggggggggh!"

"What happened to the music... and everything... " his voice trailed off to a whimper, "and my glass is empty... and now I'm cold too!"

"You're wet as well."

"I was dreaming again, wasnt I?"

TraceyG refills the shivering KAT's glass of gin, and says, "You don't really want me to answer that, do you??"

Pssst. They don't know what an esky is. And if you explain it you will most likely cause offense to a part of the native American commumity. Also don't explain what you do with stubbies, a blue singlet and a pair of thongs. They will not understand, just like Monty Python and Kevin Bloody Wilson.

HEY!!!  Herr Burt.

Yes, the flames appear low, but I have high hopes for the future.  Just wait until I get to DOE Flame Thread #7:  How I screwed the Gorn.  Nothing spells controversy like family betrayal!   <snicker>  And then of course, there is the G-rack thread.  <guffaw>

Hey!!! Cut that out!!!!! So far I'm joking.

QUESTIONS:
1)  About the CA cost thing:  I hate to sound coy, but trust me.  This is something I've thought about.  Remember that it's really multipliers, not BPV, that determines true cost.  I've redesignated a lot of hulls so that frequency and cost mean I don't need CnC rules (ie. I've taken the rules server-side instead of player-side) and I think everyone does just fine as a result.

2) CnC rules for Eagles:  See above.  There are no rank requirements.  If you can buy it, you can fly it.

Fo to http://www.fourpower.com and look at the rules section.  The rules for Day of the Eagle should be nearly identical.  (And this time I won't have the Hydran mission matching problems; not that that was the problem of the Hydrans, just the fighter accounting and the gaps in the shiplists.)

The Kzinti Hegemony formally announces that a State of War now exists between the renegade Kzin ( well, more like a wannabe Kzin than anything else, truth be told ) Maverick and our Glorious Armada. For crimes perpetrated upon the innocent confections and recreational pharmaceuticals of the Hegemony, our Patriarch declares that the Great Hunt punishment will henceforth be reinstituted. Former restrictions on consuming the target before verification of capture are lifted.

That is all.

On a more personal note, look in your closet, Mav.......

Some observations from the bottom of the martini glass:

1.   Have you ever notcied Feds can't shoot straight?  KR and Tracey:  It's Herr Burt that we are roasting.  Not me, Mr. Innocent.   Point the flame thrower over there!!!  <sigh>

2.  Have you ever noticed how bravely Cleaven attempts to carry on a perfectly sane discuission even when things dissolve into utter stupidity?  You ever watch "One Flew Over the Cookoos Nest??"   Cleaven would be our star.   The one sane person standing in a room full of lunitics.  I imagine he gets frustrated.

3.  Have you ever noticed how people from around the world think they are actually more perverted than us good old USAers??  Give it up folks!   No one!! And I mean no one out depraves us!!   We got Jerry Springer.   We got reality TV!   We got the WWF!  We go the Jacksons!  Heck we even have brew thrus!   And lets not forget FOX <shudder>  GIve it up.   (Although I am now dying to know what an esky and that other thing Cleaven was talking about is).   I'm soo <sniff> proud to be an American.   Although,  Austrialia did give us The Wiggles.  Shhesh and we bitch about Sadam's weapons of mass destruction.   We should carpet bomb Oz  for that assault on our senses!   Of course they had Inxs and AC/DC so perhaps just some sanctions and the export of Barney would suffice.  Wait a minute!!  Aiin't the guy that owns FOX an Aussie!!???   Back to bombing!!!

4.  Have you ever noticed that my posts are more rambling and a complete waste of bandwidth in the AM??  Hey, I walk in to the office to be informed that some of Cheif Mooses boys would like to talk to me again.  (yes I live in THAT county)  I have several angry clients!!! (many of whom are convicted felons who really enjoy their guns).  AND  (I swear it's true) one of my clients sent me several glossy pics of her breasts for reasons I can't go into but just let me say that I will not be eating lunch today.  My stomach is churning.  I got two hours sleep.  I'm crabby.  I forgot the Metamucil last night!  And my grip on sanity is hanging by an ohhh sooo thin thread.  Soooo.  This is therapy for me.  It's either this or I shave my head and end up on the evening news.  <sits back and awaits notice from the FCC>

Point 1:  That comes from being use to compesating for Photons.  Dont worry bout it.

Point 2:  No comment.  LOL.

Point 3:  They eat Vegimite.  We aint got sh*t on them!

Point 4:  Metamusal!  My god man, just eat some fresh fruits and veggys man, for real! Ugggg.

The horror!!!!!!!!!!!!!   Just did 6 months of non-stop Wiggles watching cause my 1 1/2 year old daughter loves them. Every morning before work on Disney and then every night in the VCR. Finally she has grown tired of them, so it's on to the Teletubbies.

Esky - Australian for cooler.

http://www.nylex.com.au/esky/history.htm

or

esky : A user-space checkpointing system. esky is an implementation
of job freezing (checkpoint/resume) for Unix processes.

Although I doubt that is what you meant.

EDIT:  Reads post. Note complete lack of typing skills or English skills.   Briefly wonders how he ever graduated from anything.  Considers editing it to correct boo boos.  Figures no one gives a damn how poor the grammer is anyways. Goes back to drinking.

Geez, sorry to hear about your gramma J'inn.  I didn't realize she was so poor!  Why don't you just send her some ofyour money?  Hmmmm ... wait ... unless she's the client with the glossies
<ugh! abandons train of thought one stop too late>

BTW - I don't think we need to punish Oz ... little Johnny Howard does that already
("Stand up Mr. Howard!" ... "I AM!").

Dunno what you mean about rambling pointless posts in the mornings though.  Mornings are always a picture of focus (hmmmm) ... why I'm sure I'm diligently preparing for my lecture at this very moment!  Oh wait ... maybe I should submit this and see if there's anything else to read.  Nah, in a minute.  SO anyway, what was I talking about?  Oh yeah! Focus!  focus ... what was it about focus ... Oh yeah!  Why does this keep coming back to J'inn's gramma's glossies?

... trails off into the distance, muttering incoherently whilst stabbing at eyes ...
