Coxxon1 released his low-poly BSG fleet in 3DS and jpg textures.

Thanks for all the compliments everyone.

After numerous requests I've uploaded the models to the following link.
They are .3ds files with jpg textures. You may need to relink the textures to the meshes.

Have fun, give credit, and make something cool with em.

FileFront - The Most Gaming Files on the Web

Now if I can just finish building all the characters.

Actually, these aren't very low poly (I checked two and both were around the 8k mark), but they look fantastic once the textures have been reapplied.

Hi all,

Well i've downloaded this excellent ship pack and converted them for a BSG mod to run in Freelancer. Took all day to convert them to the required formats so they would work in Freelancer but they are awesome to say the least. Obviously full credit will be given to Coxxon1 for the models and textures.

I'll keep you updated if anyone is interested about this but just to assure anyone who may think i'm gonna run off with these models, i've been modding Freelancer for ages, a lot of people know me in the FL community so fear not, all i can do is try to do the models justice.

Lastly, one thing missing from this ship pack is the Ressurection ship, now a low poly version of that in 3DS format would be nice to see (hint hint) lol

The HW2 team has one BUT it's missing the exterior pods you saw in teh episode full of bodies.

It would be neat if someone could make a couple rows of them and have all of one row with a pic of one of the models. it really would add to the flavor.

Like  ----all clavels---
       --- all boomers---
       --- all six's ----    etc...

Yeah Coxxon's models are perfect for gaming mods, low poly but good quality textures that make them seem more detailed.

I'm tempted to try to make a City 7 out of cloud 9!!!

FIRE!!!

I have to agree there, only models i've seen of the Ressurection ship have been really high poly count models which while gorgeous to look at are totally hopeless for ingame use

This was a great find, IM. I like Coxxon 1's comment of just wanting someone to make something cool out of it. Great attitude in this day and age of me, myself, and I.

Keep up the hard work, MP. You deserve a bunch of +1s, man!

I have to agree on that, it is a great attitude and its good that these can be converted to other formats as well, as stated elsewhere, i've already converted all of these to run in Freelancer without too many issues at all.

Hey ModelsPlease, where those conversions to milkshape format that I sent you any help? Are you using the de-polyfied versions of the battlestars (5,000 polies down from 25,000)?

The Best part of the pack is that you can use most of it for either New or Old BSG! Cause many of the Rag Tag ships are in BOTH fleets!
