About the size of the Intrepid Class, these ships were used primarily for long range exploration.
The Explorer class is lightly armed, so cannot be considered a warship.
However the amount of sensors and science departments, make her ideal for extended missions to the outter rim of known space.

That is a very original design for a Trek ship. Very neat and clean as well. I can see some StarGate infludence there also. Very good, however, maybe you can clear something up for me.

Also, what is that screenshot in? SFC3, if so, how do you distribute the glows so evenly and keep them from going behind the model?
