FINALLY it's here !!!!!!!!!!  ;D

OUTALANCE SHIPYARDS
U.S.S. Valiant NCC-8089
VALIANT-CLASS STARSHIP

Owner : United Federation of Planets
Type : Escort
Commissioned : 2377
---------
The Valiant-Class Project began in 2383 and by 2385 the class was in full production.
It is slowly replacing the aging Defiant-Class vessels as Starfleet's primary Heavy Escort.
Since the ever growing threat of a Romulan Invasion and the possibility of the Borg and the Borg Confederation attacking Starfleet has made the production of Valiant-Class vessels 100% higher than that of the Defiant-Class when it came into service.
From the success of the "Black Sheep" Defiant project, Starfleet was spurred on to design a new, more powerful version of the original ship if relations with the Empire were to begin to break down.
The Valiant Class is the direct successor to the Defiant.
Most of her systems are identical, or direct upgrades from her predecessor.
Starfleet decided that Starbases needed a mobile defense platform.
After consultation with Starfleet Engineering the decision was made to expand the Valiant project.
Designed initially as a weapons test bed and feasibility study, the Valiant-class escort proved to be a good choice.
Without the comforts or amenities of most other starships, the Valiant was perfectly suited for fast strike missions from a nearby base.
The Valiant-class escort is the most overpowered and over armed vessel ever created by Starfleet.
Using power plants and weapons designed for ships twice her size, or greater, the Valiant has had her spaceframe and structural integrity fields strengthened in the same proportion.
The warp drive nacelles are mounted within large flaring/shoulders in order to improve their performance and strength.
Mounted on top of these are Mk Xa Pulsed Phaser turrets with fixed mounts.
These mounts give the ship astounding forward firepower for a ship of her size while leaving gaps in her defense.
These gaps are partially closed by the addition of three standard Type X phasers.
However, maneuverability rather than firepower is the key to the survivability of the class in combat for no ship of this small size can stand up to a true cruiser or even a large destroyer in a protracted engagement.
The USS Valiant was the first of the class to be deployed to active service.
The advantages of this ship is it's increased size.
Enabling it to perform more functions then its predecessor and it is capable of carrying a heavier weapon load.
The crew quarters and work area of the Valiant-Class was greatly improved upon, allowing this vessel to act as a border patrol vessel for longer periods of time.
This vessel class is to be considered as canon due to the original intension that this would be used as the Defiant (which was later changed for the ship design that is known from DS9).
As with the Defiant Class this vessel is heavily armed and armoured.
Although it is classified as being an "Escort" vessel it is actually designated as a warship.

If Romulans aren't cowards, then why do they taste like chicken?
