I've got about 30 mins... I'll try to get MC2 while I'm fixing lunch and everyone that wants it from there can just let me know. I'd be happy to burn it and send it out.

Zip file for MechCommander2 and Gold no longer seems to be available on that site.  Maybe it was pulled down due to high demand.  I am going to search for the file on bittorent to see if it has popped up there.

I wasn't too crazy about 2. The interface was nice but I don't like finding a certain weapon and then having an unlimited supply of them.

AFAIK - the files are still there, they just limit it to 20 downloads atta time.  I've gotten MC and MCG, not sure if I want to get 2, beacuse I am naturally wary of No-CD cracks...

I think it's odd that Microsoft is giving away something for free.

 And where do I sign up for the class action lawsuit against microsoft demanding the 50 bucks (each) I paid for these games when they first came out ???

They have done it at times and not always for anti competive reasons.  They have even open sourced at least one game.  Admitedly there are restriction on that game but it is freely available.

From the main page, Downloads and Library Upload should do it.  It accepts .rar files.  Then just tell him the file name.

You might try Daemon Tools, it is a CD Rom (and DVD) emulator. It lets you run an ISO as if it is an actual CD/DVD.  It should allow you to run the game and install even without getting the new burner.  No need to wait the week to play the game.

I thought you were burning a disk to install from and that would have avoided the wait.  So much for my good deed of the day :(  ;)

I use daemon tools to avoid the CD hunt when I want to play a game that requires the CD in the drive to run.

LOL, Hey your heart is in the right place. I use Daemon tools alot myself, as It saves tremendous wear and tear on Discs.

The only Program I've ever seen have a problem with it, Is Starforce. It activly looks to see if you have A piracy enabling software, and I guess Daemon fits the bill.

While updating the Free Software list I was just on the Daemon tools site and found the following that might help.

Quote
STARFORCE:

Starforce © Protection Technology Co.

DAEMON Tools is able to support this protection 100%.

For information on how this protection works, please see the Securom protection; ProtectCD is very similar.

You will have to create your image with one of these programs though:

    * Alcohol 120%
    * BlindWrite
    * GameJack 2

You may need to update your Daemon tools and use one of those 3 programs to make the ISO for Starforce protected games.

Alright, guys:

I've tried to upload the file, but for some reason it won't take. I'm gonna send 762 a CD with it Monday, and he's gonna host MCG for download on the Dyna. :)

Stephen, if you have MC2 and a crack for it, could you do the same?
