Yep. that's right. After ten seasons SG-1 finally gets cancelled.

About time.... it really lost me as a fan when Far-Gate came along....

Now when is Atlantis going to join it in the grave yard?

Just means more room for BSG and Doctor Who....

If anythinig SG1 was getting better and better.. they could have made another 7 seasons out of it.. they should keep it going.. it a lot of people are still watching it and its the #1 most viewed on Scifi then it should stay, and just like with Showtime when they only wanted 5 seasons they missed out A LOT when Scifi picked it up.. if another one pick up SG-1 and it makes good money again, then Scifi will also have lost out big time...

I thought SG-1 and Atlantis was getting good... At the very least, it was time nicely-spent (if watching TV) in-between the 13-episode-ish seasons of BSG and Doc Who that are made every year. You'd rather see Wrestlemania in-between, then? (I never got that; Sci-Fi Channel's move to air Pro-Wrestling shows on its channel... USA or Spike or some channel like that, I can see... But Sci-Fi?)

Well, color me dissapointed. I was really enjoying the new direction of SG-1. The Ori (SP?) had real potential as villains and I thought Ben Browder was doing an excellent job in his role. (The others were too; but they already had been for quite some time.). The only problem I had was that I thgouht they wimped out a bit when they made the Ori liars who secret;y drained their followers to feed their energy. They were better villains when they were just evil ascended who enforced absolute subjugation.

They had a great concept.
"You're not gods!"
"We have omnipotent power and the ability to make you immortal. Why are we not gods?"

Do they at least get to wrap up the story? Though I imagine any wrapup at this point will feel rushed and phoney.

Well, there may yet be hope. If you read this article through to the end, you'll see that MGM is trying to find a new home for SG-1.

This really bites. I love SG-1. I'm about 1/2 way through season 2, but I've seen all of 9 and 10 so far. So yeah, I love stargate. Atlantis is fun, but I like SG-1 a lot more for some reason. I really don't know why.

i suppose i should make my point a little bit more clearer... its not fun to see a great series go but im glad to see it go as a GREAT series rather than as some beaten-to-death-old-horse if you catch my drift. :>

I just found out! this is a total bummer for me! love the show as well as sga, my scifridays will be ruined for sure go figure get rid of sg-1 and bring in ECW u got to be kidding me atlantis will not last long without earth whats the point! and if scifi screws with bsg as well they will be done as a decent network.Flippin ECW UNREAL................

well sg1 should not stop at the 10th seasons, we need to know more abouth the are eye (what ever its spell) and see if Baal will get kill or not, so the final goaoul will fall for good, well there still a few of them but there not stoping it, its too soon, the should remove galactica, its just too stupid from many point, the original is a lot bether, well the problem is the sci-fi channel is too limited, it reqired subsciption to special channel to get it, the should and must put sg-1 to a regular tv station so more viewer can see sg-1, myself include, i download it from the net cause i will not pay for 80% uf reruns i can get at the video club for less, that include statrek, as good as it is i find its just filling because the don't have much sci-fi to show that is new, i get enought rerun at normal tv, so why should i payd for a sci-fi channel that show a lot of remake of old sci-fi?

Not to risk dodging rotten produce, but really how long can a show run? Ten years..twenty..twenty five? At some point you'd need to retitle it "Stargate : Shady Acres Retirement center" $:-\$

Besides this frees up brains that might create the next mega series

Stargate seemed to have died in Canada four episodes into season ten. After the first four episodes of season ten the Space channel started running re-runs from season one. I was quite disappointed. I am in fact shocked to discover that there were more than four episodes in season ten and that it was only cancelled now and not six months ago as I had assumed when new episodes mysteriously disappeared here.

I have no time for Atlantis or BSG, conspicuioulsy over empowered female roles badly overacted as such gag me out completely and I am suprised more women are not offended by these distasetful and transparent characters. I suppose it is just evidence that the representation of women among sci-fi fans is small and will remain so. These misguided writers and producers are not doing the genre any favours.

In my Opinion SG1 stopped being "Good" after season seven ended. The Ori felt like they had the Star Trek Complex...have to keep bringing in a more and more powerful bad guy, and then come up with some uber cheese way of defeating them... Season eight was decent, but the move from Colonel to General just didn't work for O'Neill.

Honestly...they were starting to run out of material anyway...was starting to get like Star Trek in that way as well...

Atlantis is really starting to shape up now...last week's episdoes with two Rodney McKay's was quite amusing...especially when they added in his sister...who by the way was played by the actor's real life sister...

I had to laugh at some of those comments on that YouTube site about the P90. None of them knew what the heck they were talking about.

Judge, if you really like the P90, Just get one of the new civilian PS90's and SBR it. Oh, wait. You are in the people's republic of kalifornia. forget that last suggestion.
