Good news: I just found out I got a new job!

Bad news: It's at a remote mining camp up north where regular internet access will be extremely difficult if not impossible.

Good news: It's at a remote mining camp up north and it pays really well!

I ship out next week. I'll be pretty busy getting everything in order but I'll try and check in a few times before I'm off to address any pressing concerns.

It's been fun playing and working with many of you. <S> So stay cool and don't forget to have fun!

Those kinda jobs are a pain, but worth the scratch.

I almost took a trawler job for 4 months but realized I'd sleep 6 months when I got back. What good is money if your too tired to spend it ??

Thanks guys.

My flight out is on Tuesday and I'm leaving here on Monday. I'll try and check in once more before I'm off.

I'll definitely check in whenever I get back to civilisation. (The job is 2 years to start, but there will probably be breaks where I can get back home for a week or two here and there).

Cold I don't mind, in fact I quite like it, it is clean and pure. The only thing that really has me worried is the blackfiles in the summer. I've heard stories about how they can be bad enough up there to drive the caribou mad enough to drown themselves in the bay trying to escape them. I'll be bringing lots of repellent just in case.

Warning , Deet only works vs mosquitos, not blackflies. At least where I am from, and here I am up north enough to see clouds of mosquitoes and blackflies so thick it is hard to see the front of a canoe.
