Debug OP Serverkit Test - Aug 29, 8PM EST
« on: August 20, 2006, 11:20:15 am »
I will be running a debug test of the OP serverkit on Tuesday August 29th at 8PM Eastern to gather more data on the latest code modifications by MagnumMan. We are making progress, so please help us get to the finish line! It would be nice to see a turnout of at least 20 players to get the data we need. I know folks will be a little burnt after SGO6 concludes, but the test should not take more than an hour or two and I want to get it done before I put The Forge back up.

As usual, stock files are required as we cannot use a modded server for such baseline data collection.
Here is an installer with all the stock files should you require it: ftp://www.dynaverse.net/sfc2_op/backup_files/StockOP.exe
(it will overwrite your current files and has no uninstaller as it is a stock files backup - you can use 7-zip to extract the files from the installer if you want to configure your OP install manually)

Everybody liked the OCI right? Well this is what we need to do to get the serverkit running well on SQL under heavy load so that we can enjoy features such as the OCI and more for future Dynaverse servers.

It would really be cool if SQL would be stable enough for Storm Season III ;)

That's what I was going to ask.   Is this still going to happen, or will Bonk have moved to his new job by then?

I will be off the day before...

But I have left MagnumMan with instructions on running the test and he will probably get to it, but it will probably be delayed for a time. The show must go on!
