Alrighty . . . .

My Orion Pirates . . . after years of modifications . . . Special mission scripts . . . Die Hard's ship lists . . . and something that can only be referred to in passing as "The Tantalus Issue" . . . is completely FUBAR . . .

If I start the game it takes me directly to a random pr0n site. I suspect a Die Hard shiplist . . . . The site are cool and all . . . ooo especially the one involving Brazilian girls that . . . . . but I digress.

So . . .

I need to do a clean install. And then what? And where can I get it?

And remember . . . I only speak moronese. No techie terms like "electricity, hamsters, etc."

Before you do anything have you tried installing the SGO6 stuff?

Honestly I pretty much keep installing installer afer installer without bothering to remove the previous one and it's worked out OK.

If Hexx's suggestion does not work out... (definitely try that first)

Then:

0) Completely disable Anti-Virus Software, especially the evil trash known as Norton.
1) Do a clean install from a retail CD. (First, uninstall existing mods, the game, and delete its folder)
2) Patch to 2.5.5.2: http://sfcx.no-ip.com/downloads/mirrors/Taldren/SFCOP_Patch_2500-2552.exe
3) Do a full install of OP+4: http://www.sky-flyer.org/sfc/opplus_40_models.exe
4) Install SGO6: http://www.sky-flyer.org/sfc/SGO6/SGO6.exe
5) Login.
6) Kill Hexx.

If you got the p0rn site then I think you actually loaded the SG Installer correctly.

I ran into some serious women troubles and had to well . . . . mend some fences. One was from Columbia, one was from Korea, one was from the good old US of A . . . . and then there is Shop Rex (Lord knows where she's from).

Well . . . suffice it to say there was cussing, yelling, and one death threat from one of the above's daughters.

Ah well at least two of them are still talking to me.

Is it still up? And I'm talking about SGO. I'm staying down for a year or so, it's gotten me in enough trouble.
