Standard Multiplayer?
« on: March 01, 2007, 02:50:26 pm »
I was trying to get into Dynaverse 2 a while ago, but I never got it to work. Now that I think about it, what I wanted was really "duels" with real human players.
Today I tried the TCP/IP multiplayer for SFC2:EAW, but the lists were completely empty.
Also, there seems to be a "standard multiplayer" option where it says "engage the enemy on gamespy." But when I click on that, SFC2 just quits and opens up netscape.com, and doesn't go to gamespy.

Is there a way to login and I am just not getting it or does no one play anymore? If anyone here at Dynaverse.net plays online, can you help out the technologically challenged  :) Thanks.

note: I have dialup internet so that could be a problem, but I'm not sure.

You Have OP?  how about do you  have  lamespy ? TCP/IP is for when you  have some people to play and you  need the hosts ip adress to connect since he is acting like the  server for the  game

Hope this  helps

You'll have to go to gamespy.com and download thier software to play there.
The orginial OP disks comes with a very old version of Gamespy.
You could always try the test server to get to know the new missions... ;)
Not every mission in a campaign will have PvP.  ;)
see the thread on this page "Mission test for SGO7" for the download.
