Poll Results: Go SQL. So far SQL is running ok.
« on: August 05, 2006, 12:27:42 pm »
Bonk will take 2 hours for the Installer to get online. So that is when we start... about that time from now. So in the mean time we have a few minutes to take a quick poll while everyone is here.

If we try SQL and we go for 1-2 hours with more than 20 peeps... and it runs fine... we likely will keep using it. But if it burps over and over, all progress wil be lost and we will have to completely reset the DB and go flatfile. Up to you peeps at this point.

Afaic, I did pretty good to hit the non start time. Just 3 hours behind. Rest is up to the players.

This poll will be shut in 30 mins.

I think we should try SQL once more, I like the OCI :)

*edit*
Possible idea here. If it is the forefiting that causes the server to burp and go unstable how about you make it so that to forefit a mission has an incredibly large PP fine on it which should prove a good incentive not to forefit :)

SQL one more time.. the OCI has been very useful in the test server, so if we can continue with it then it should be back at SQL :)

Alrighty, I've given Bonk +1 Karma. I would have added more but it says I've got to wait 12 hours until I can ;)

Cool. So will probably be starting once I start my dinner :o
