What sounds cool though is the way in which they implemented "upgrades". Not the lame "ok, load this and that on my ship this time around and maybe I'll come back for different weapons loadouts next time I'm at a starbase". No, they actually improve the crew with special abilities so that they learn to be more efficient, etc. Now, that I could understand, and would make sense in a star trek setting.
