Also, if I wanted to load a file onto D.net (more than a Picture, but like a movie or something to share) can we do that? and if so, what is the proper way to do it and also to provide a link.
Also of course it would be preferable if there were a way to have an autodelete function or something after 30 days so it doesn't take up too much space. Or is it that we can't do things like that?
1) You may attach files to posts (under "Additional Options..." on the post edit page) and link them as they are linked at the bottom of the completed post.
Allowed file types: txt, doc, pdf, jpg, gif, wav, mpg, png, zip, rar
Maximum attachment size allowed: 4024 KB, per post: 10
2) You can use the
Library Upload to upload files directly to a specific subfolder of the
downloads folder and link them directly.
Allowed Extensions: gif, jpeg, jpg, png, bmp, rec, zip, rar
Max File size: 40M
3) You can use the
Community FTP account to upload files of any type or size to any "upload" subfolder folder in the downloads folder and link them directly. If you would like to make the file permanent send a request to Frey or I and we can move the file to the desired folder in the downloads area. Or if you just want it there temporarily you can leave it in the upload folder that you uploaded it to and then delete it when you no longer need it.
All files uploaded must be related to SFC/Dynaverse.Net in some way, any innapropriate files will be removed. Please show some restraint as we have limited bandwidth (32KB/s total) so don't upload a bunch of huge files (DVD rips, etc) and link them to dozens of your friends.
First, I have access to Windows Movie Maker, and Windows Media Player as well as Nero. I also have access to Windows Media edition.
What I'm wanting to do is use my DVD burner to make a DVD that will play in a DVD player like other DVDs. In otherwords I want to make DVD movies from home movies, or things that I find on the web.
I use Roxio Easy Media Creator to create DVDs that will play in a regular DVD player, but I imagine later versions of Nero have the same capability, though I have not used it. I expect it is explained in their help files or on their website.
