You needto do the pod of the tug still by the looks of the pictures above
People always said they wanted the government to listen to them and now the government is listening, taking notes and names...and coming to see you soon!

Yeah, I also need to add some of the finer details to the plyons of the DN and tug as well as the secondary hull on the DN. The Miranda needs her color scheme touched up and I need to figure out how to make the hull plating pattern not look so "painted" on her. Other than that, a few minor adjustments to the meshes themselvs should about finish them off.

Only thing that might help is by doing it in several layers. Lay a darker foundation on the bottom one, than apply the metal look at a tranparency level with more of a brushed metal pattern only. It will be lighter on the edges and darker in the grid area. next add your saucer grid pattern again you will have to make it a little tranparent, then add just the darker lines of the grid as the top layer with a shinny layer just below it to offset one area of the saucer from the other. You will have to try it at differnet transparence for the layers yet the background one but once you make the layers that will all that is left. It will have some trial and error work there but it should work out.

:notworthy:  :notworthy: Wow these are really nice looking ships I cant wait to add them to the ship lists/model folders . .
More is always good  ;D

I do have a question though about the Akula:

How come the torpedo bay on this destroyer is usually depicted as so huge?  When you look at the Saladin above there is a nice slim torpedo bay, on the Connie there is a nice slim torpedo bay, on the DN . .  then the Akula has this enormous clunky torpedo bay . .  it works on the roll bar for the Reliant/Mirandas etc but to me it looks out of place on a sleek destroyer.

BUT that wont stop me from having them

 :notworthy: Great work :notworthy:

:'( makes me really wish I could figure out bashing atleast . . never mind textures .  .  :'(

Mostly would be scaling

The Destroyer is about half the size of a Heavy and about a third of a dreadnaught

I dunno..I kinda like the look of the chunky torp bay on the Akula. I saw a version with a slim bay and it made the ship look fragile. Aside from asthetics, I suppose I could paint some missle tubes on it to justify the added size.

We added several more ships to this pack. DTW has them now for new textures.  ;)

;D

This is one reason why I like SFC III.

I'll command my Akula with a bird-of-prey on each wing.    ;)
