Make sure windows firewall is off and bypass your router. Ck now. If no, then uninstall your other software firewall even if u turned it off. See if that fixes it. If it does, then your 3rd party software firewall wont completely turn off when you ask it to. Have had others with this problem.

SFCOP came out b4 software firewalls were popular. The way the game was designed to work on the dyna conflicts with the use of software firewalls to the point the game isnt playable with it on. Other games have adapted, OP has not. So you gotta have a FW free comp or this game wont run right.

The Forge, see the sticky on this forum, is the current server. Another is scheduled in 3 weeks or so.

Make sure it is FireSoul's OP+4 that you are getting:
http://www.dynaverse.net/downloads/sfc2_op/Mods/opplus_40_models.exe (with models - 61M)
http://www.dynaverse.net/downloads/sfc2_op/Mods/opplus_40_no_models.exe (copies stock models - 275K )
there is an impostor floating around out there...

Read this post:
http://www.dynaverse.net/forum/index.php/topic,163359567.0.html
(note that http://klingon.stasis.ca/OP_plusrefit/ is down at the moment - thus the links above)
In particular note the http://www.dynaverse.net/downloads/sfc2_op/patches/sfc2_directory_server_updater.exe in that post, however that fix is included in a genuine copy of OP+4 anyway.

Dou you have multiple installs of OP on your machine? If so, which copy did you install OP+4 to? Ensure you are running that copy. (Regarding multiple installs: http://www.dynaverse.net/forum/index.php/topic,163365074.0.html)

Yep, it was the Windows XP firewall that was the culprit. I turned off my normal firewall and tried to connect and still got the firewall message displayed.
That good ole XP firewall was still running in the back ground. I can't thank you guys enough for your help. I spent hours trying to figure this out, drove me nuts.
Well ya'll got some fresh meat to kill now, Try and take it easy on me there, LOL.
Again thanks

Glad you got it sorted out.  :)

Running more than one software firewall can produce very unpredicatable results. In particular, running ZoneAlarm and the Windows firewall simultaneously can cause major problems, even if you specify exceptions for applications and/or ports in both, traffic may or may not get through. I learned this the hard way, the really hard way, ultimately it cost me a job.
