Anybody know spiders
« on: July 19, 2006, 10:44:13 am »
Just killed one in my apartment, thought it was a black widow but on closer look it wasn't.

It was black and had a white dot on it's back. Sorry no camera so no picture of it.

Probably a black house spider.

Rather common critter.

Unless that spot was in the shape of an hour glass.

Then it was a Black Widow.

Though her spot is underneath.

That's what it sounds like. They are actually good spiders, they help keep other critters down.

So since it was a good spider and I killed it, does this mean i'm heading to the bad place, or it could be a good place depending on how you view it. :o

Not at all. If you at first thought it was Widow, then you did the right thing. Personally I think your abit more important then a bug.

Well did some more checking and it looked more like a jumping spider than that fiddle back, but it did not need to be indoors anyhoo.

Ah... this would be the culprit:

Supposedly there is a gecko or some other reptile that loves to eat roaches. I do not think that would be a good matchup against those king sized mo-fos on the southern and eastern coasts. Those things will make you run like a mo-fo!  ;D

Oh, and don't bother with the Raid unless you got half a can.
