The more I see thig game, the more I'm dying to play it.

World in conflict

I love the idea of having to buy units and not worrying about trying to cope digging up different resources.  But that's the minatures gamer in me and it being translated in a beautful manner well.......Drooooooooollllll. 8)

Oh and speaking of Minis,
I'm still playing Silent Death over SFB but, I'm getting into a WWII ground combat game called

Flames of war 
From what I've seen, it plays smoother than WH40K and the minis are super affordable.  Plus, I'm getting my kids in this hopefully they will start researching history books and get a better understanding why guys like me serve and also to get mod ideas on the models.  I'm pretty pumped because I get to share the fun geeky side of me while we make the terrain and build the minis together.

Ever play any of the old Avalon Hill board games?

That + Black Sheep Squadron TV Series + seeing Midway in theaters at age 5 kicked off a life long fascination regarding WW2 and warfare in general.

Get it... general, the geeky gaming magazing AH used to put out.  Shees, other kids were gettin Sports Illustrated, but not me.  Gimme the General and Military History any day!

  It amazes me how this game looks and it was in the Pre Alpha stage at E3.  I'm hoping the game is released on time spring next year.

I'm in the process of teaching the boys how to work with minatures for FoW and, I'll have3 some pics for you when we get some progress.

Just read Gamespot review of the early multiplayer portion of the game. 
I'm liking what I am hearing of the specialization roles for this RTS.

 I think it's funny how a full scale invasion was landed in Seattle.  Probably scared the crap out of our Canadian neighbors.

man, I'm really drooling.  These wallpapers are gaming images from the multi and finally released single player modes.  The detail put into the models are friggen lovely.  Now, it's going to be rough, wanting this and wanting Enemyterritory: Quake wars








Seen this on the home page and it scared the shat out of me aboutthe possibility so, I had to post it. 


They have it as a poster on cafepress

Those graphics are really awesome! You can even see the chambers on the M-16 rifles!

As for the flag? I know which nation it is, but you are correct, most Americans would rather turn a blind eye and go shop at Wal-Mart where prices and morale are very low, always!  ;D
