Poll:a permanent thread for released patches, updated drivers and security/bug

The idea of a permanent thread to post links and information about Operating system and application patches, updated drivers and security/bug work around was proposed to me by Stephen.  The thread would be open to all Operating Systems, all applications, all games and all hardware.  It wouldn't matter if it was Windows, Mac or Linux, Proprietary and Open Source would all be welcome.

The question is would you find such a thread useful?  Would you contribute to it?

Yep, yep yep. Nice work Nemesis. Of course I would help and Contribute to such a thread. It would be very handy to have a one stop Place, for when Nvidia/ATI/ etc. comes out with new patches.

I think it's a good idea and I would be willing to help out when I can.  However I think that game patches and game work around would be better served by having its own thread in the "Other Games" sub-forum due to the shear volume of games out there that people here play.

That's dif. something to consider. The idea was I had almost missed a new catalyst patch for my ATI card on the 24th. Seeing that everynow and then, we get an update here, I figured haveing one place to Grab the patches/ Updates...

But Like I said, It's dif. something to consider.

Not exactly a landslide of voting but all positive.

Javora does have a good point on the Other Games forum for a games patch thread.  Establish both and crosslink them in the first post so people can be directed from one to the other as needed.
