With Bonk having left us for a time, and DH still absent on those
"abuse of an corpse" charges it would seem I'm going to need to figure out how to host a server
(and you all thought you were free...)

So
Anyone know
- if the server stuff runs on a normal system setup (ie WinXP) or do I have to get
some kinda server software.
- if (through a router) I can play/host at the same time (I'm like 99% sure no, but..)
- where NW's server notes are (I assume there's a link a few forums up, but I'm lazy)
- how hard this is? I assume it's really easy. Do I need any technical ability?
- why my computer is making whimpering sounds

I started reading some of that stuff and gave up saying,. hell I hardly have enough time to play much less figure it all out.   Good luck Hexx, you got your hands full.  I bet if players like myself fully realized the time/dedication/effort needed to set up and run these servers,.. well,..  we would have an even larger appreciation for what those admins do.

-Server kit will run on a home computer.  BBJones ran most of his CW series on Pent 2 700MHZ and it was just fine.
-Ask Scippy.  I think he was playing on the same connection his server was running on
-pretty hard.  Not much technical ability, just lots and lots of settings.  (I'd look in the server admin forum under the past campaign GF's)

P2's reached 700mhz? I thought their max was 500 or 550? Unless he OCed it.
