I noted over at the Trek BBS how much that cover resembled a senior class photo from a high school yearbook, with ships like the Ent-D struggling to peak its "head" over the crowd to get in the picture.
Actually it looked more like ships such as the Ent-E trying to get above the Ent-D in the picture. And of course I picture the Ent-E as a gal with a cross between fashion today and fashion in the 1960s to get a tacky-yet-retro look. But that's how I feel, so I guess we'll always be in conflict over taste. To the Ent-D's right is the old man in today's attempt at fashion (
that failed, of course). Below her posing is the beautiful, classical lady (that started it all) wearing classy-yet-tasteful fashion while posing for the picture, and her younger cousin above her and Ent-D (and to their right)... *shrug* I could bore everyone by going on, but I apologize for being boring.
By the way, look at our top-right (
Edit: I keep forgetting my lefts and rights again, especially during my dog training sessions.) corner. At first I thought it was a crude attempt at the Prometheus's ventral side, but could it be the Enterprise-J? It was featured in an SotL calendar, so could it be that on the main cover?
Aside from that, I'd be interested in the SotL book.
