I know people will not care but it will make me feel better that this Dyna campaigned sucked.  First I had problems getting on, and then everyday that I tried to log in and play I got the message that my ship list did not match so I then had to go get a new update.  I feel this was way to much to play a GAME!  Give us all the ships we will need on the first patch but prohibit when they can be introduced and played.

I have to agree with HoHoch, at least with some of his statements.

Phase 1...Well Done... A
Phase 2...Also well done... A-
Phase 3... D

Phase 3 was not a very good part of the server, needing a new shiplist every night (when the server is running) is a bit too much.  Also by Phase 3, those .... drogues got annoying, It was fun for the surprise factor at the beginning, but after you learned the tricks they were more of a nuisance and a time-sucker than anything else.  Over all I did enjoy it, and want to thank you again Herr Burt, but Phase 3 was not fun at all.

Maybe Try The Forge for a bit HoHo...only need OP+4.0 and the scripts.
Info in the thread in these forums.
Long running campaign, started in 2273, now 2281.
Good stable server, WebMap, WebShipYards...  ;)
And no ship restrictions... ;D
And it needs Lyran pilots...how convenient!

I didn't play much (as always for the last few servers) but it seemed fun.
I don't really like pirate ships- but that's more of a "WTF puts 1 ESG on a ship?" and
"where are my 10 Ph1s and 4 ESGs?" .
Plus I hate drones
and plasma

But as far as the background and RP stuff- That was amazing.
I honestly don't think ANYONE has put as much effort into setting up and running a server as HB on this one.

As for the lists? Ehh dunno, to me DLing and installing a new shiplist is like 4 seconds work, so I'm not really a fair judge.
The problem is- HB left some things up to players choice for lists- to preserve a bit of "mystery" and the unknown I'd assume
Since there is no way to hide any info in the shiplist , everyone would have been able to see everything from the start.

Also (and likely more relevant) you would have had to have every single ship from every single cartel in every single list-
as well as a method to prohibit people from buying ships they didn't have access to, and the yards from producing the wrong ships.
Really with the scope and setup of the server there would be no otehr way to do it.

All in all I think a strong "Kudos!" are due to HB

Kudos!
(I really have to look that word up someday..)

Don't get me wrong and I apologise if I offended anyone.  I by no means mean to diminish the hard work put in by Herr, and I congratulate him on even taken the time to put together a server where we can all come an play.  I know I do not have the time or knowledge to do what he did.  Just based on that alone - good job!  But I still stand by my frustration and offer it only as constructive thoughts to hopefully be considered by Herr or others  who provide us with the next forum to meet in.

Again Herr if I offended I apologise.
Thanks

New shiplist downloads took me about 5-15 minutes each time counting the time it took to realize there was a new one, finding it, and getting it working.  That wasn't much of an inconvienience in my view.  If someone was on broadband it might take a bit longer but shouldn't have been too bad.  People just like to bitch about stuff like this (myself included) but it really isn't a big issue IMHO.
