Tenak'talar Class Dominion Cruiser

OUTALANCE SHIPYARDS
Tenak'talar Class Dominion Cruiser

Owner : Dominion
Class : Capital Ship
Availability : Unlimited Deployment
In Service : n/a
Out of Service : n/a
------------
Of the major classes of non Cardassian Dominion vessel currently in widespread use in the alpha quadrant, Starfleet only has detailed knowledge of the smallest.
Of the Tenak'talar Class type, virtually nothing is known for certain.
During battle the Dominion appear to use these impressive vessels as multi role combat types, operating with equal effectiveness against fixed installations, spacecraft and in the ground forces support role.
In peacetime they are frequently used on diplomatic missions, which seems at odds with their military nature.
Some sources have suggested that the Tenak'talar Class is the Dominion equivalent of the Starfleet Explorer type, their large size allowing them to carry out an almost unlimited number of roles.
However, given the nature of the Dominion it seems more likely that these vessels are indeed warships, used in the diplomatic arena as an implied threat rather than because of their suitability to host extended negotiations.

It looks great, but for some odd reason it reminds me of being a Jem'Hedar-ized Godslayer Class Klingon Battleship.

aside from purple engines the colorscheme needs work, it doesn't look very "dominion" to me.

I'd say the color scheme is perfect, the second pic is the best, and as usual Atolm once again creates a completely original and stylish design. Wonderful work.

Sure NP...I think the bottom ship is slightly darker and matches up well with SMileys and Redragons textures...color wise

I liked the original textures.  The newer ones, to me, honestly feel like the model would be better suited in a Trek version of the Star Wars: Clone Wars cartoon.  In any case, none of 'em are too bad.

I can't see the difference between the 2 pix honestly. There needs to be more light blue pannels and deeper blue pannels like with smiley's ships and the deep purple on the engines is a bit too deep purple. Thats just my feeling. The design and overall shape is fine, though.

Okie took your advice and made final changes on the Alt. Textures using Smiley's textures as a guide. And yes re-uploaded it  ;).

You know, I'm not fond of Dominion designs whatsoever, but then again that's kinda obvious, considering what race I usually work with, but this ship, HOLY S**T!!!!!!  She's beautiful.  I think I might have made a mess on my console.  :-D

And MP, I see you're using that logo I made for ya.  :-D

Major P, you working on a secret mod for SFC? Sounded like it might have been for something else - not in mod format (although mod can be a more generic term).

Don't leave us out in the cold. This model rocked and we can always use more to keep the game fresh.

LOL in a big way. Guys. I was joking. Achilles. This is your model and your textures. Its your decision who you want to give it to. Same goes for anything else you create. I'm just glad that I seen it and have it for my project (would have taken me somewhat longer to make it myself and it wouldn't of been as good).

MP. Don't worry about it and you've no need to appologise to me. Its a dam good model and deserves its place where as many people as possible can see it.

I wish Raven was this inventive. I think that Atolm does a much better job on the Dominon.

I think Raven is very inventive, his Klingon's and Rom's are outstanding !!!!! His Feds as well.

Agreed. Azel works on a freaky superthelux level, but imho Raven is at least equal in talent. However they couldn't be more different in style imho.

Raven knows how I feel about his designs. He is my boss after all.  ;)  I like some of his designs alot, like his klings and his roms. Others I don't care for. I think  Raven could do with being a little less conservative in his designs. That's why I love Atolm's work so much. And yes, they are both definitely talented. I'm lucky, hell we are all lucky to work for the guy. Some of his ideas give me goosebumps, others are just silly. I guess that's how it works  ;D

well I know what FW is talking about, everytime I make one od Azel's designs I always think the texture could ever be reused.

I do love the design's at nightsoft but I have to say Azel is in a league of his own, I really wish he'd update his design site.
