Well, there is bad news and (maybe) good news.

The bad news is, obviously, it crashed again.

The good news, maybe, is that I noticed I'm very low on physical disk space. I'm gonna hope that's it, and that the system crashes when the DB starts expanding. (Hey, we can hope.)

I've cleared off some disk space, and I've cleaned the DB. We'll see what happens.

And yes, it bugs me that Hexx isn't seeing any ships. I'll look into that when I get a chance tonight.

Spontaneous reboot this time. I suppose that, technically, this is better than a weird bluescreen.

There is little point in wasting time on missions that don't count. I'm going to start it up once more, then if it crashes again I'm going to take it down until I can spend some time investigating possible corruptions.

When doing the character transfers page on The Forge webmap, I set it to change both "CharacterRace" and "CharacterPoliticalControl" to be on the safe side because it is too hard to tell which is responsible for what. There was also shipyard lockups revealed if there were any open ship bids belonging to a character when that character transfered (I have since put a check in to prevent that). You may want to have a look for open ship bids that belong to characters from their old races. If so, that may explain the shipyard issues observed.

Aye, that's something else I'm considering. I may have to make both match and forget the neat trick of having the old color names. Neat for atmosphere, but if it is what is causing trouble..... I also plan to spend a bit of time looking at Hexx's account to see if I input a stray character or something.

I also should get the ship listupdated just in case something weird is going on there, though I don't see any error messages.

With instant ship delivery, there shouldn't be any open bids.

Odd that it worked all day, then started crashing around 4:30. But I guess that is when the server load picks up

Just for information purposes. The first 2 times you brought it online tonight I had ships available. The last 2 times you brought it back online I no longer had any ships available.

That's because I cleaned the database the second time it crashed, and it never stayed up long enough after that to repopulate.

Perhaps, but I have been online during the week when you do your DB cleans and as soon as it is back up I log on and have at least 5 or 6 ships total available.

Well, I've discovered what Hexx's problem was. His account didn't get converted! With Tigerheart having no economy left to speak of, it simply didn't have enough to fill the shipyard. (Which might be a poblem in itself; I'll up the available econ of the former cartels.)

Had something like 3-4 "ghost" people on... (Ghost of Barak, Ghost of Risky, Ghost of someone else)

Odd... It seemed to still be running on my machine, which is why I didn't notice it was down.

Being that it is so close to midnight, there is no reason to bring it up until midnight and then drop it again. Instead I'll just go ahead and do all the editing, then bring it up for good.
