Operator(who defected in order to double cross the beasts) in his C-BR1 with Maverick in his B-CR1 as a wingman.  Maverick dies on his home planet due to my mine.

in other news, Operator in his B-MR3 with BigBottomedWife in his B-CR1 as a wingman.  BigBottomedWife dies from my fire.

GG guys.

RP off.

guys of all ages, this was a setup defection.  If you all read "The Call" it had all to do with that, and the storyline of it was set up for this.  If anyone is offended, we appologize.  I hear that some people are not happy with it. Thear also may be some rule breaking as we set up extra accounts for this and that is against Herr Burt's posted rules.  The extra accounts were made to insure no one lost a major or prime ship and that they lost no actuall PP.

Herr Burt was made aware of it, and if he accepts the kills is up to him.  The setup was that I was to defect to the beasts, which I did.  What was not known by the Beasts at the time was that it was a doublecross, where I would be killing some of them off before coming back to the Prime.  This has been done now, and they accept it with no questions, and did it willingly.  The loss of their 2 ships were to help total for my loss of time fllying for them instead of the Prime.

IT is all a game, and with Pirates, who knows, pirates can always buy pirates, if they have the goods.

Again, appologies to anyone offended.  I however felt, as did all those who aided me, that it was strictly a RP thing.

BTW, this is Dfly, so if there are any negatives or positives, give it to Dfly(me), and not this account of Operator as it is only for this campaign and will not be back.

Edit Quote from Rules

"The pirate code is more a set of "guidelines" than actual rules, but in this game there are some real rules you must.  Infractions will be disciplined as I see fit, as fairly as I can manage.   Penalties can include anything form PP fines to IP banning.  I don’t' want your PP (I can't use it for anything) and I don't want to ban your IP (we need more players).  So just play nice, eh?

There are only ten basic rules for Economic War.  Only the basic rules *have* to be followed.  More options are added in the advanced rules, which add things you can accomplish if you are willing to undertake the effort."
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

6) Multiple accounts:   You may play one cartel and one cartel only!   You'll get enough opportunities to try out other cartels when the field is cut from 8 to 4 in phase two, and from 4 to 2 in phase three.  That's half the galaxy's starships you can fly, all in one account, so there is no need to wander.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

The entire concept of multipule accouts has cause far more issues on far more servers then anyone can care to rememeber.

Duck, it was mentioned to you that Herr Burt was advised of this, and it was posted above as well, but you failed to mention that.  If it was your server, and you told me NO, then it would have been a no.  Thank you for posting the rule which you had quoted me when it was mentioned that it was happening.  It looked like you were saying you were involved in the running of this campaign by stating you had avenues of punishment.  Perhaps that part got you the neg?

Ease up on him Risky. Being informed doesn't mean I care for it either and Duck makes some interesting points. There's also an interesting side bar going on with this that I haven't heard back from Herr burt about.

Didn't use any Karma button but I agree with Risky, you sound a bit uptight.

No harm was done, the acts made no real impact, the server admin was aware of it, and an attempt was made at some roleplay fun.  Why should anyone get upset with this?  If they didn't relize what was happening I guess i can see it a bit, but now that explanations were made there should be no reason too.  For me the roleplay is half the fun of game and without it I'd be playing something else.

From the admin:

I was aware of the desire to do this, but was a little ucomfortable about what people's legitimate reactions could be unless it was handled very carefully.  I knew how I would react if I were in second place trying to catch up and then thought some of my players defected, and thus I asked all parties to speak to all Overlords before proceding.  This storyline plot was a great way for people to have roleplay fun so long as no harm came to the game, but I didn't want it to happen if any Overlordss were unhappy about it.

I didn't realize it had already happened, and was hampered by trying to make sure everyone was happy via PM rather than coming to Teamspeak.   But I was way too busy trying to get the files set up for editing to spend time on Teamspeak.

If no harm was done and people had fun, then all is well.  With this game coming down to the wire and both sides still having a chance to win, however, it's probaly best we don't do anything like this again unless both Overlordss are enthusiastic supporters of the idea.

On the other issue:  Tobin, I answered the other question you had.  Please check your PM's.  I've also written to the other party asking him to speak with you.
