scaled mod available @ SFC3files.com

SFC3files.com graciously published my "scaled" mod.

http://starfleetcommand3.filefront.com/file/Scaled;61597

It consists of mostly things that I find my self doing every time I install SFC3. Thought it might be useful. There are several tweaks. Most notably I have rescaled all the stock ship models to be consistent with ex-astrixs-scientia size charts. Other tweaks are as follows:

Shields will now be blue when hit, more canon, not rainbow colored.
Klingons are now enemies of the Federation (what is the point of having everyone gang up on the Romulans?)
Glows removed from most ships.
Texture and texture mapping on Akira model improved.
Damage textures added to Excelsior.
New Orleans and Nova Classes (with stock-esk textures) added as varients in skirmish mode.
Captains with larger class vessels can now join player's fleet. (hang on to that Defiant if you want to)
Corrected texture mapping on space models space28 and space31.

Thought it might be useful to others and save some time.

Just out of curiosity, how did you remove the glow from ships?  I never did like that in SFC3, looked like I was looking through a "blurred" lense.  ::)

To remove the growing groups from ships:
1. Open assets\textures\LightFuncHiRes.bmp with MSPaint.
2. Paint it all black.
3. Save file.
Done. You should have all the growing removed now. :)

I went the long way with this mod, I went into all of the GF files and deleted all the glow information. It took several hours, byt I think that You-Cheng Hsieh's method is much faster. The advantage however do removing each individual one is that I have begun using the glows in my break models to look like explosions and take attention away from my single piece break models. I took the assets\textures\LightFuncHiRes.bmp and pasted an explosion texture over it. Then I put the new explosion glow on my "break" models. I just deleted a bunch of good screenshots, otherwise, I would show you better how I am using them. (but they will be in my Terra Prime mod)
