Topic: i need help sfc:eaw (Read 2351 times)

hello folks...

my name is daniel, i´m from brazil and i need some help here...
i have windows xp, and i can´t play the game sfc2:eaw...
Do any of you know a way to play this game on windows xp???

once a guy here told me that´s possible, but i´ve tried to found something in the google, and o´ve failed...

i´m asking assistance for this probably VERY NOOB question, but i want to play this game again,
plx explain to me step by step,

Ensure you are patched to 2.0.36: http://www.dynaverse.net/downloads/sfc2_eaw/patches/SFC2Patch2002-2036.exe

Get the directory server update for the Dynaverse: http://www.dynaverse.net/downloads/sfc2_op/patches/sfc2_directory_server_updater.exe (for EAW and OP)

Find Starfleet2.exe in the EAW installation folder, copy it, and paste it as a shortcut on the desktop, then use only that shortcut to start the game.

Let us know if you're still having troubles.

Unfortunately, I have a similar problem.

I have:

1. Updated my DirectX
2. Un-intalled SCF:OP, then Re-installed it, updated it to 2552, installed OP+ 4.0, installed the UAW mod, dowloaded all the ship/mission scripts.
3. Created a new shortcut
4. DISABLED ALL FIREWALLS
5. Updated my video drivers (I have a GeForce4 Ti 4200)
6. Restored the origonal drivers on my video card (when updating didn't work)
7. Used the .bat file for the beta UAW

The problem is, I can log onto the server select screen. When I select a server, a screen pops up saying conntecing to server. Then, I crash to desktop. Any suggestions?

do you use a privacy service like the one from Mcafee. if so you need to uninstall it

They are talking about Empires at War here not Orion Pirates.

i´m having another problem, when i put the cd on the computer, the autostart apears on my screen and then i click "install" but the problem is that the program never instal, can i do somenthing on this case?l

I had assumed you had already installed the game...

Try simply browsing to the CD in the windows explorer and double-click setup.exe in the root folder of the CD.

Hey

Reboot the PC
Make sure the CD is clean with no scratches
Turn off AntiVirus

Then try

hey guyz, thx for your help, one of the problem was the firewall, i´ve disable it and then in was able to install the game...
