« on: April 21, 2006, 11:33:37 am »

A brand spanking new MKVII.. straight out the Box ;D

A more familiar Looking MKVII.. well used

Ahh... refreshing to see a MKVII with traditional viper colours... hmmmm  my favourate  ;)

http://www.battleclinic.com/docks/dock.php?id=3658 <- - - - - get her fast while stocks last.

Ok 1800 Polys 1 x 512 x 512 texture sheet.

I have the model with specular maps and bump maps and 1024 x 1024 texture sheets on my hdd all backed up.. so If anyone wants her for BC.. you know the address to come and ask..

the model folder you dl.. includes the three texture sets in the .rar so you can choose which one to play with...

its scaled slightly smaller than my alternate delta model.  ;)

enjoy  ;D  Im gonna go play galactic civilisations 2 which just got here from america.. woo hoo...  and them gonna go watch BSG S02-E19 and 20...  ;)

I think it sucks that the game engine cant handle too many polys. I need to buy a better machine to use this eye candy. Fracking awesome job~! Wtg

I actually like the MKII a little more then the MKVII in design, but your models are very nice.  I actualy like the last pic the best out of all three because the Red markings help give the fighter some identity to the past.  I wish the show would put those kind of markings to the MKVII's, would really be a nice touch.

One little nit pic, and I may be wrong because the angle of the pics is kind wierd, but the Cockpit window looks a bit too narrow.  From what I have seen in the show, it looks a little wider then that.

Hey, any chance you could make a MKII Fighter aswell?  I've thinking about making one myself, but I probably wouldn't be very good at it.

Yeah the shine will be captured in game although not in sfc... I have the specular maps and bump maps for use in other games on another version on my hdd.. with 1024 x 1024 texture sheets.. the released model for sfcIII although it is the same the ingame engine as you know doesnt use most of the cool fx  :)

Oh.. I already made the MKII last year.. its up in battleclinic  ;)

thanks guys  :)

In the show the Raptor used some kind of missles one time to kill some Cylon Troopers on Kobol. I think in the pic above and the one I posted for ref are the same, and it kinda looks like 2 rail guns of some type under the front of the cockpit, and or the wings.

Contact nanobyte, I believe his nanofxGE engine can use all the cool fx including bump and spec maps. It's far enough along to make a good job on screencaps atleast, though I don't think it's playable yet.

I thought TGA was just a file extension ilke jpeg? with 8 to 32bit depth compatibility..

Anyhoot.. If BC doesnt support bump mapping i wont bother creating them... should shave a few hours off the raptor  ;D

Thanks MP  ;)

As far as I know (from converting) a TGA is a .BMP+A light map. And then I think the Spec map goes in the slot where an Illumintaion map goes on an SFC model.
