Hold on a minute....any known issues?

We've allready seen previous versions that dont play well together and mimic connection issues....

Its not a new version (9.0c), its a new SDK and other small adjustments.

Some games requier these newer files for thier game to run properly, such as BF2 which will install these files on install.

It's possible it may affect OP, but I highy, highly doubt it. Even if the updated files even have anything to do with a part of DirectX OP uses.

Yeah, it's just updates for DX 9c, not a new version.  ;)
Was just a FYI of sorts.  ;D

Ah...I was thinking new version...

There where previous versions that didnt network well together ( DX8 and DX9.0a IIRC) and would mimic a host of connection problems including drops...fail to sync..... CTD .....unable to draft...etc...

It was a good thing to point out.

Last thing we need is an update to break our game.  And many times you can not go backwards on DirectX without reinstalling Windows.

SFC2 should not be affected by any DirectX updates as it is using the DirectX 7 directplay API, SFC3 uses directplay 8, so might be affected. I'd be very suprised if any current DirectX updates affected the DirectX 7 network components.

If this new update does affect SFC3, it'll be something to worry about personally.  I've been thinking of making a return to the D3 this summer, first time flying as an independent.  Hopefully these new updates won't hurt me much.
The pen is truly mightier than the sword.  And considerably easier to write with.
