RSE D'Pvash Class R-Type RELEASED
« on: April 20, 2006, 12:31:42 am »
OUTALANCE SHIPYARDS
RSE D'Pvash Class R-Type Bird of Prey

Owner : Romulan Star Empire
Class : Heavy Combat Vessel
Availability : Limited Deployment
In Service : 2375
Out of Service : n/a
-------------------
In 2366 the Tal Shiar received reliable intelligence that the Federation had developed a heavy
escort capable of incredible speeds and heavy on armament and armor. This created quite a stir
in the organization, as a warship in the hands of the Federation represented both a threat to
the empire and a possible shift in Federation policy. At the time, the Romulan secret service
was involved in creating a secret fleet for it's own use, and after the Senate decided to aid
the Federation in the development of the escort, a decision was made by the Tal Shiar leadership
to develop a similar vessel to counter this new threat. The design was christened the D'Pvash,
and would eventually represent three different vessels for use by the secretive political
group.
The size of Romulan systems required restricted the lower end of how small the ship could be,
and a size of 165 meters was finally decided on in 2367. The ship was deployed in limited numbers
on 2375, and was more successful than expected, spawning two more similar vessels in the D'Pvash
line. This vessel was designated the R-Type Bird of Prey, and continues in service today, abiet
in secret.
This ship can match the Defiant in speed and menuverability, exceeds it in armor and sheilding, but is inferior in firepower.
This vessel is also equipped with the most advanced damping cloak that the empire posesses.

true, if you still have 1/2/OP. Unfortunatly I still only have 3. So I'll just admire the new babies you Raven and LC build from afar.
Snickers@DND: If there is one straight answer in that bent little head of yours, you'd better start spillin' it pretty damn quick, or I'm gonna take a large, blunt object, roughly the size of Kallae AND his hat and shove it lengthwise up a crevice of your being so seldomly cleaned that even the denizens of the nine hells would not touch it with a 10-feet rusty pole

Just the one, the 2 other versions (sizes) are as yet unreleased.

Sorry I never liked SFC3, never play it so I never bothered to learn to model for it.

The other two are coming shortly...they still need some tweaks. I should release the D-type today for conversion.

Oh, and Starforce, I noticed the Mod files do not have specular maps. Now, I'm not sure if the process removes them, but isnt a specular map used in BC? If so, I can give you modified versions of the SFC files or the originals so it includes the speculars. Let me know.

I'm removing the spec files when I do the .MOD for SFC because it's uneeded. ALl SF needs do is grab the original file from you..add the spec back in the my folder and then do his conversion  ;)

ummmm

I use SFC II models in SFC III all of the time, I just make the files missing and add them in my game so I can play with them.

It is not that hard, and I never have had a problem putting them in. (unless you count when I first started and didnt know anything)
