Battlestar Galactica "Galactica"

I was wondering if anyone had this thought as I do. The Galactica looks like it is "ribbed", it also looks like the reason for the ribs is to hold armor plate. If you look closely you can see armor plate in certain areas, and ribs in others, like the armor has been removed.

It is possible that since the Galactica was having its de-comissioning ceremony during the Cylon attack, it is possible that they had removed the bulk of the armor getting ready for museam duty.


MarkyD or anyone else who wants to tackle it, could you re-texture this model so that it is fully armored like the Pegasus ?

Infact I did have that very idea the other day... not to actually make one but it does look like the ribs are to hold AP and it looks to be removed  :)

The best way to procede is to probably ask Ancient Angel if you could retexture his model?

Rofl..  :D  you gonna tackle it yourself.. should be easy enough to cut and paste bits of plating over the ribs.. give ya somthing to do..  ;)

Might be nice to have a full armoured version but at the same time I like the way it looks now just because it has that under dog feel to it. Never 100% always scraping to get by.

go for it, all I did was use Zoic's Ortho shots for the texture work.
