EZ INI and multiplayer AI skill level
« on: April 06, 2006, 03:11:16 pm »
Yes EZ ini does globally affect things, another words even multiplayer can have its AI adjusted by it.  Basically it modifies the sfc.ini.  I copied the original and then used EZ to modify it and then compared the two side by side.

This value controls the AI skill level.

[UI]
UIType=0   ( in the original version)

as you up the AI strength in EZ,  that number goes to 1 and then 2 for Admiral.

I am most curious what changing some of the other values does,..  Oh sh*t better get ready to reload I can see I have opened up a can of worms that will no doubt cause me headaches down the road    :'(

Thanks Bonk for the tip,.. in our campaigns we have a deadline for getting battles done and if folks cannot do it by the deadline we force the use of A.I. in their place.  Now that the skill level of players is so high most feel like they may as well surrender cause AI sucks rocks so bad.  I am looking forward to testing the most powerfull AI settings.   I had noticed a difference in UAW AI, verses the AI in our multiplayer battles.

Thanks for the detailed report! (I was wondering which ini value that actually modified...)
