Mesh = JUST ABOUT DONE! Just needs some touch ups from the more experienced modellers (i tried

)
Textures = a nice hodge podge of textures from VARIOUS ships

permissions to come later

If ANYONE can finish touchin it up it would be GREATLY appreciated, i cant do textures for shat, and im not great at making faces either 0_0 milkshape is confusing sometimes...

and now for teh money shots...

i moved the shuttle bay down, and shrunk it on the Y, so it has engines now

ANNND i though of a name... i dont care what its called in the original thread

only part that needs tweaking is the area in the bottom left pic really, its SLIGHTLY different now, but thats still the only problem

It looks like to me you just need to move some verts and weld them . To prevent texture bluring/warping move the non textured poly verts.

Admittedly, it is more of a TMP Centaur that the design shows. Good first model, though. I think I'll retry my hand at this modelling lark.

I deviated a bit

creative changes ill call them

all i did was move the shuttle bay dow and keep the impulse engines in the normal spot...

isnt that ship impossible in the specs? its got no impulse whatever crystal... (the blue thing)

Mine is done includung the saucer front mount torp, and less pointy imp engines

NOW I did some research and the original picture is labeled wrong. The Amerind Class is a Franz Joseph designed scout with 1 nacelle similar to the saladin. THIS ship is the Cerebus Class designed by Russell Nel. FYI Russel Nel also designed the Pleiades Class and the Sagittarius Class.

So I did my thing.......................

Built in the 2270's, the Cerebus class was a forerunner of the Centaur class.
Intended to operate with the Constitution, Excelsior and Miranda classes, the Cerebus' where to act in the role of scouts and conduct general support missions during fleet actions.
They where designed to be very small and agile, and as a result the Cerebus has limited weaponry and a relatively poor standard of accommodation.
This has prevented them from being used regularly on long duration missions, a problem which recurred with the Centaur class.

you shoulda kept the phasers the way they were went you sent me that pic. I kinda liked how they were subtly noticeable with the panneling. Gave an interesting look it it rather then the normal tmp ones. Oh well.

Yeah 9th Omega and myself came across a design called the Saggitarius(basically a centaur with an EntB saucer), but it was a little lack luster so we came up with idea of adding a roll-bar and shuttle bays. Omega did all the work, I just added shuttle bays. Hey 9th Omega I think your new ship deserves a fresh post of it's own

Hey all,

Well done on the Cerebus, it looks like you had a lot of fun making it. MP, I do know that the Amerind is a (rather silly-looking) single nacelle scout, but I don't like the way it looks so I placed a design of my own in there instead. The Cerebus also isn't quite the ship I envisioned as the model, but it's one of the closest (along with the super destroyer USS New Haven I found somewhere).

I also think it looks better with the standard nacelles instead of the ones in the schematic.
