I will go where the FSD leader goes and if he wants FSD to rally around Wylderfire then I am there.
Now I am not very experienced with Dyna, I am used to a lot of hex flipping. I am confussed as to how this will work. If pirates don't own hexes is this only PVP ? Or are we still hex flipping?
I ask this while looking behind me !!
Arrrrrr!!!!!!
I'll need to get the Info thread updated to make this clear. (I used to have another post up that gave an outline, but I can't find it.)
Pirate *do* flip hexs, on the cartel map layer. There are two map layers to each campaign: one that shows which empires control each hex, and one that shows which cartel controls the black market for each hex. You'll need to use the pulldown menu in the upper left of your screem to swap to the cartel map for this campaign most of the time.
There are several ways to earn victory points in this campaign, which should allow everyon to help their cartel, regardless of their strengths or the amount of time that they can put into the server:
1) Controlling the blcak market, payoffs, and protection money. (the economy of the hexs you control) The total econ of each cartel will be counted EACH DAY, and will be added to a running total.
2) Eliminating the competition (destroying player owned ships) When you kill a player, you'll need to send me a report of who you killed and what they were flying.
3) Amassing wealth. (the prestige you earn. How would you keep yourself well-supplied with gorgeous, green-skinned women if you don't amass wealth?) I'll check your total lifetime prestige.
4) Special secret opportunities offerd to each cartel during the game.
In addition, there will be a side game based who can become the most famous and feared pirate in the galaxy. You can see the "Piracy Points" and the "Information Thread" for details here, but basically it involves killing other players, killing your wingmen, collectiong ranson, collectiong bounties, and finding secret buried treasure hidden throughout the game. Arrrrrrr!!!!!!
