« on: March 14, 2006, 02:21:11 pm »
As far as Home Improvement, Goals, etc.

I've got quit a few myself.

I'll be moving a large fence line further back to our Property, In order to grow a yard.
Putting in a swimming pool, with Deck. It will include my first ever attempt at a Homestead Rope Bridge from the Deck that StormBringer and I built last year.
Building a Ropes course for my Niece and Nephew at a Crick I found at my place a few weeks ago.
Building another Deck for my own home, Albiet smaller then the one Storm And I previously built.
Stocking the Fish pond.
Learning Safer methods to hunt Wild Boar, Them be mean critters with a 12 gauge slug even.

So how about the Friends and Family here at the Dyna? anything Fun like this that your looking forward to?

Stephen.

PS. StormBringer, Be expecting a call in a few weeks.  :P

I have just the tried and proven answer for this: They drop in their tracks.
BTW Steve, should I  set you up to try one this summer?

Here is a photo of my Father in law after one of his trips for filming the tv show. He is using the same gun that took a buffalo, boar, Grizzly(world record, 9'1"), white tail, and elk.

what will i be doing this summer... hmmm

Well for the frist 2.5 weeks of june i'll be on leave.... can we say beach bum?

For the following 2.5 weeks i'll be doing command center shift (8 hour shifts with a 2 days off) so nothing, though i'll prolly set my rig up and try to get caught up on modeling or be working on my PL Enterprise A (the 1/350th scale one)

for the last 2.5 weeks i'll be on OPS 3rd LT somewhere (go to an AF base, and learn what the real AF is... in short a nice vacation ;))... i'm hoping over seas, that would be nice

I'm going to take a 3-week paid vacation to Italy to keep the peace on our little airborn installation there... and to be like Oddball...

Going to Field Training for the Air Force ROTC (Think basic but for Officers) for 4 weeks at some point.
Helping build a porch for my fraternity.
Move into said fraternity at some point.
Hopefully doing a summer term for school to catch up on course work.

So yeah, should be filled. So much for actually MAKING money.

Get the garden going in May.
Start changing diapers again June.
Start digging out the crawlspace in July; one wheel-barrow at a time. Took my dad several years to go from space for his tools and junk to a full basement. Figure if I put at least 4 hours a weekend in should be done in 18 months.

Spend that money where it counts; from my 4-week experience at Dover (granted back in '88 security was abit lax) I highly suggest a midnite call to the local Dominoes will work wonders for your morale when the entire flight is up all night doing chores.

Just remember, order at leat one pizza for the security guys or they will most likely tip off the CTOs that pizza is inbound.

$27 a day.
huge money, I know.

$27 a day BASE PAY... or $27 PER DIEM?
In that kind of situation, I'd get my base pay + the $27 for a really nice paycheck. I've worked TDY Force Protection jobs where I've almost DOUBLED my basepay through per deim.
