Hey Pesty! Love to talk to ya.. Speaking of UAW, have you seen the roster on the Dynaverse?
FYI, I have a team working on balancing a CUGS version of UAW, and I'll be addressing bugs on the Dynaverse Shiplist. When all is said and done, can we (you) do up an installer for the whole thing..
Models-specs-batch files-audio (including music).
It'll be a while yet as both shiplists are still in beta..
Welcome Back!!
Sure can do.. NP here on doing that..
IIRC, you may want to take time and adjust the shiplist with Excel and put the UAW models outside the Models directory.. IIRC, about 4 of the *.mod files for UAW overwrote the original OP model locations.. that is one thing my installer did was back up the original models and then installed the UAW models.. but editing the shiplist to point to a different directory.. as well as adjusting the model.siz file to show the same locations.. this would save ton's during the install process.. little difference to the installer creation, but the install process would go much faster.
basically all you would have to do is put all your models into a UAW folder in the Models Directory and put the path to
Assets\models\uaw\[name of model folder here]\*.mod
instead of
Assets\models\[name of model folder here]\*.mod
that is my only recommendation to stream line the install process.. the copy - move - delete - create folder - copy - move - delete method may be too taxing on some HDDs which is how it is installing with my last installer package... it really jams up a system for a good 3 to 10 min on the models alone because of decompressing, then another 5 to 10 min moving files and directories.. that is a lot of batch file writing..
anyhow.. just a suggestion...
but once you have a distributable version ready.. I'll compile it in stand alone (SFC OP Out of Box to UAW Full Installer), a SFC v2552 Upgrade (versions without mods but patched to v2552), and OP Enhancement version UAW for games already using OP Enhancement.. and finally an all in one that includes OP Enhancement and UAW for use on out of box SFC install...
will that work?
