OK as much as i like  ES series.

this new game makes me think really hard about my future gaming days.

have you looked at the requirements?

What are the PC system requirements?

Recommended:

ATI X800 series, NVIDIA GeForce 6800 series, or higher video card

Minimum System Requirements:

Windows XP
512MB System RAM

128MB Direct3D compatible video card
and DirectX 9.0 compatible driver;
8x DVD-ROM drive
4.6 GB free hard disk space
DirectX 9.0c (included)
DirectX 8.1 compatible sound card
Keyboard, Mouse

Supported Video Card Chipsets:

ATI X1900 series
ATI X1800 series
ATI X1600 series
ATI X1300 series

ATI Radeon 9500 series

It's really sad when you have to spend at the minimum $150 plus the game costs.

According to that, I can run it, but not at anything close to max specs.
"Dialogue from a play, Hamlet to Horatio: 'There are more things in heaven and earth than are dreamt of in your philosophy.' Dialogue from a play written long before men took to the sky. There are more things in heaven and earth, and in the sky, than perhaps can be dreamt of. And somewhere in between heaven, the sky, the earth, lies the Twilight Zone."

I'm just barely over Max. 1.5 gig of ram. Still though, Games like this will be causing many a Fan boy to buy new hardware. I've had this one Pre-ordered for months now.

I've think I can play it ok.  I have a 3200 AMD 64 with 2GB of System RAM and an Nvidia 6600 AGP with 256 of DDR video RAM.  I've been thinking of trying to get an Nvidia 6600 PCI card and trying to SLI them.
