That's right, Bruce.  We know who we want, and we want only the best.

The Day of the Eagle is upon us.  Will you allow the Romulan pooftas to despoil the earth?  Will you let them deny the innocent their rights?  Deny their denial?  Deny the innocent ever had rights? Shall they force you to wear funny forehead bumps when you go to the movies (but not when you watch TV?)  Shall they deny you your joy of scotch and cookies, or tequila and beer, and force you to drink only <gasp!> ale?  WARM ale??!!

Or shall we upbraid  them for their delusions of relevance? Bob their ears?  Give their slow boats a tow to their homeworld and spray-paint them dayglo pink?   Will you join us to stop pointy-eared surrender monkeys?  The Gorn war machine is looking for a few good captains.  Perhaps you can be one of us.  The few.  The proud.  The Bruce!

But remember:  No pooftas.  Crack tube!

I thought Pooftas were common amongst the Gorn Drag Alliannce.  This would explain their love for Monty Python skits featuring men in drag, and their special love for the Lumberjack Song......

Of course ... this entire thread begs the question why the South Carolina man (Scipio)  knows what a Poofta is in the first place!?!  BTW - it is also a British (and possibly Kiwi) term as well.

And how would I know who Derek Smart <crack of thunder in the distance> is?   This is the first on-line computer game I have ever played.   In fact I still have no clue what:

- a router is   (I have a cable modem I turn it on, I'm online,  do I have a router, should I have a router?)

- packet loss is??   (sounds like a contraceptive problem, but I am not sure)

-  a flat file   (most of mine are flat in my office, they are mainly just papers stacked together)

-  the term wOOt  (what the heck is that.  An owl??)

- IP address  (well IP has something to do with me after I drink a lot of beer, but I don't get the connection)

- the internet in general  (I first got online only about 4 years ago,  I still don't get it at all)

-  that King of Queens show and  Still Standing, etc.  (I mean come on people why are they on the air.  AND if those guys can get those girls to marry them why am I still single!!!???)  <erm, forget I asked that one>
