I've never tried a Dyn before but I wanted to check this out in more then a boring offline game.

I'm running the only Chris Jones  TNG Mega Mod server.  You'll need 1) The TNG Mega Mod (big file and all the updates, including the 1.01 patch fix) and 2) The 1.01 beta patch.  The server is titled TNG Mega Mod  And Chris Jones himself has died twice on it.

Thanks. I connect first to the Multiplayer campaign first right? Cause atm I can't get to it because my roommate has us connected through a router and it looks like he has to open up the 2 ports meantioned in the readme. Hopefully that'll fix me up.

BTW, has anyone figured out a way yet to have more ships for the single player skirmish? Or a way to save what ships appear in a skirmish so you can have "favorites" you can play in 2 seconds instead of having to set them up every time you want to play it.

Thanks

Chris Jones' TNG Mega Mod adds plenty of ships selectable ships for single player skirmish.  Also when you refit your ship, finish refitting, and press Save and type in a name.  Then when you choose a ship of that class, press the Variant button and you'll see the variant you saved.

Actually what I meant was,

1. Have all your ships already listed and ready to fly so you don't have to go select each ship each time you want to play a skirmish.

and...

2. Is there a way to have more then... 6 or 8 is it? ships in a skirmish at a time. Seems like a pretty small number. Why doesn't SFC allow 20 ships in a skirmish?

Currently, you can only have 6, it supposed to be going up to 8 in later versions (tells you this in one of the MetaAssets files, or was it one of the scripts, I forget). I guess it's because the game struggles to handle any more ships.

The devs should allow a lot more, but add a warning that it could degrade fps in slower systems. That way, the game could take on more and more as tech increases.

Ok I JUST got on. dunno why, but it took 2 tries for the game to get online. Anyways, I have the mega mod patch, the beta patch, and the mod beta patch patch... anyways, I don't see the server atm. Is it down atm?

Sorry, it was down and I didn't realize it.  It's back up now!  Tell me your log-in name once you get on, and if you follow the rules maybe i'll bump you a bit of prestige...;)
