Game Crashes

Hey i have a problem with SFC3. Ive added ships in game (IE to the DW mod) Oncein stalled it will work fine. just the problem it will only load up once then crash when ever i try to get into any mission once ive reloaded the game.

U peeps got anyideas on how to fix or whats causing it?

Many times SFC3 will generated a log file when this happens. It will tell you if you coded wrong. It can be found in the main directory. Check it out, it might give you a clue.  I forget what it is called because I am a good modder and never crash my game (LOL, just joking). If it is not there, it suggests a corrupt model.

If the problem you have is an invalid ship, the file you need to look for is the in the game directory called Invalid Ships or something like that.  It'll be a .txt file.
The pen is truly mightier than the sword.  And considerably easier to write with.

Yeah, thats the one, like I said, I didn't know it cause I never crash the game with my mods   ;)

Theres only Invalid Hardpoint errors in that file. Oberth, Neptune n the breen Warship. I never select those.  N even after a reinstall n 1 try the game corupts

I get this error Msg

Unhandled Exception! in version 1.01 build 534
SFC3.exe caused a exception access violation in module D3D8.dll at 001B:02cc8309

Hey, thats great, gonna add that one to my trouble shooting list.

They need people like you as tech support at Activision, anytime I contacted them about any error message, they sent me some canned answer like, "make sure your computer has a graphics card" or "is your game installed?"

I appriciate your dilligence, I am sure it comes from hours of changing one thing at a time and seeing what it does to your game.
