Yeh that all sounds very kewl, thing is i dont think my models would work would they being so high poly? i mean some of mine are 100k polys

you really ought to screen shot them in ortho view, and then use those as textures for a 200 poly game model

Nah i wudnt like to do that, it wud remove the feel of the ship to me, the details are wot defines it, i jus hope u enjoy the fallacy of my models, cus wen i do a few im guna make some wallpapers

This sounds like a great idea. I would like to create a race and eventually will but I don't have a fleet made up yet. It will take me some time before I have anything finished. I am going high poly as well as I want to have them detailed for renders and wallpapers.

I have made some headway in creating my own universe. It is now embodied in the Terra Prime Mod for SFC3 (download at link below).

This mod contains all of the ships and races I showed above and additional races. There are some 60 new ship models in this mod. I hope that many of you will download it, and give it a try. I have included background and history for each race and the readme contains a glossary of terms used in the mod. The mod is not complete, but I hope that this initial release will spur some interest and prehaps others of you can help me add to existing races or entirely new races.

Got the notify in this thread and saw your post. I don't have SFC3 installed currently, to mod over it but I'll check it out at some point.

Anyhow I wanted to say thanX cuz ever since i dl'd Milkshape I've been having a blast! -- Mostly my trek has been for the B5 models and I've converted some .ads and lwo's out there into .mod format and have them on my test server.... plugging away

Another idea for a new "Race": The Association of Neutral Merchants.

The ANM is composed of merchants, free traders, small independent systems, mercenaries, privateers and outright pirates. As their ships are constructed in small independent shipyards, they have no common design.

As some of them are obviously NOT merchants, the common saying in the universe is that ANM really stands for

Assisting New Modellers.
