I take a lot of work home. The non-classified stuff that is. Routine paperwork. You know, useless stuff.
It really adds up to a lot of crap. I mean a lot of crap. I have 3 filing cabinets...and those are full of reference stuff. Studies, printed out pdf files, reports. I'm sort of a hoarder of information, and I hate having to read stuff on a computer screen so I always print out hard copies.
Now, I have a method to the maddness. Stuff that I'm going to keep long term goes in the filing cabinet, stuff that I reading or not going to store long term goes on top of my desk. It's sort of a big inbox.
Tomorrow is shredding day! Woo hoo! That means I get to trim the pile somewhat!
