MySQL Serverkit Debug Test 8 PM EST Sunday Feb 19
« on: February 16, 2006, 08:26:01 am »
Not many votes in but this looks like the most popular time for the near future so far.

Do not login as ISC (they have no allies in the stock setup and thus are innapropriate for DV shift testing). Would be nice to fix that in the missionmatching code to make the need for "total-war" missions obsolete... (so they won't draft enemy AI as allies) Though this might require modification of the scripting API as well...

Stock shiplist and missions.

In case yours have gone astray:

http://www.dynaverse.net/downloads/sfc2_op/backup_files/ftrlist.zip
http://www.dynaverse.net/downloads/sfc2_op/backup_files/Scripts.zip

Or an installer if needed:
http://www.dynaverse.net/downloads/sfc2_op/backup_files/StockOP.exe
(shiplist, fighterlist, model.siz, missions, shipnames and strings - no backup, no uninstaller - 1.46 MB download)

Please post all time in central time. Central time is centrist. Stop playing right field. Compromise with those of us with bipartisan views. We are more than fair.

Obviously it should be :

Newfoundland Daylight Time (UTC - 2:30) during newfie "summer" (it is to laugh),
Australian Central Daylight time (UTC + 10:30) during ozzie summer,
and Norfolk Island Time (UTC + 11:30) the rest of the year.

We're on for 8PM EST tonight, please show up if you're able, thanks.

(I set the ISC to non-playable to eliminate their issue)

Test server is up.

Things to do:
- Pile up in a hex to stress the mission matching.
- Throw in one or two forfeits (but ony a few in total for the test overall are needed) there is a large PP penalty I think...
- Test PvP DV shifts - set to 3, non-PvP DV shift is 1
- Test PvP Hex Health Reset Ratio - hexes should flip to 20% of their initial value if it is a PvP mission, if not should just flip to DV 1. (only once hex is already neutral)
- Test DV shift on solo losses in a neutral hex.

Test concluded, we got one of the errors we were looking for!  :)

Thanks to everyone who helped out, it is greatly appreciated.

I think I'll stay out of the DV shift testing next time as my connection is just too slow for more than 1vs1...  :(

Thanks again guys!

Bonk id rather you there in the mix with us with ur slow connection then not...u know what needs to be looked at when it happens...

i dont mind the crashes to desktop or the hosts left...

it is a "test" server...

thank you btw!!!   :notworthy:

and the DV shifts for PVP were an added bonus...though i do see a potential problem if people do not alt out in PVP "host left" situations...

Sorry I was out of town, my new box was not all together 100% then anyway, is now OP runs phat custom mission maxed out w/ fts, mw drones maxed, every thing I could think of to load the graphic engine...ran flawlessly w/ Firesouls models pack.  Cannot wait to try it out soon, still tweaking and installing .... have not really had the time to spend enjoying it yet, though I did toodle around with roller coaster tycoon 3 with all the bells and whistles on max .... very pretty.
