Ya'll need to stfu. U remind me of the naivety of cindy sheehan.

W/o my kinda rulz u got BB's and DN's all winging together, u got multiple groups of droners (edit spelling) flying together. U got players rebuying a BB right after u killed it... Its stupid. Servers like that are called cheese servers and the fun falls off after week one and it turns into a ghost town. Been there seen it. A heavily ruled server is the only way to go for a long term server that will see the playerbase thru to the end... providing it doesnt turn into a blow out because of numbers.

And you last about 2 hours on the last heavily ruled server  :P

I agree with Bonk and Green,  Capt Jeff's rules for SSI & SSII  were the best set I can remember.  Gw1 was the second best.

Ur living in a dream world, chuut. Peeps cant be trusted to police themselves fair and equitably on a server anymore. They will cheese it to hell and most of us quit servers like that. The reverse isnt the same. Cheesers will find a way thru the rules to cheese as much as they can, but they still play. But it keeps the non cheesres happy and they play too. Everyones happy.

But dont mistake my rulz set for that laywer esqued up KCW rules set from hell. No one needs THAT many rules.

Um, you guys realize your'e arguing about something that doesn't exist yet, right?

I sense Kroma's pressence . . .

Rulle are a needed evil, but with a wee bit of luck, we'll have the technical ability to use less soon.  Example, the disengament rull can go bye-bye now that Bonk has figured out how to se PvP to give a multiple DV shift.

With SQL (we are getting close) no OOB is needed.   Hell, I don't think OOB is need either as long as fleeting rules exist (what can fly with what) that keep the ridiculous fleets to a minimum.
