Actually, The drones on the Dominion are an unfinished Taldren weapon, called DroD. It looks like plasma but acts like a drone. It may be unpredictable in the Dynaverse.

OK. This time I have a screen shot. I ran a convoy escort as a fed near the romulan borg border and the enemy was a Romulan when they are our allies. Designation was R-FETX or similar. Nice green rom ship. No Borgified thingy.

I got on the server and have flown several missions. I have to say Hats off to the folks that participated in bringing this about. It's absolutely awsome! I'd love to try a campaign from this approach with all the races represented just to see what happens. Forget having 9,265,678,236 rules about what ship you can fly and when and with what loadout, and whose cheese is bigger or smaller. Just have a knock-down-drag-out-kill or be killed-play til you fall out of your chair, server. Kind like the good ol' days, and I've been around long enough to quote scripture and verse of the "good ol' days". Set a login limit to each race and go for it. If you can't fly as one race this time wait til next time. There's a ton of options available with this set up!

OK, that's my opinion, so there! ;D

And from the blade rang a cold voice in answer: 'Yea, I will drink thy blood gladly, that so I may forget the blood of Beleg my master, and the blood of Brandir slain unjustly. I will slay thee swiftly.'

Rom Borg Fed

It is Rom..

Shiplist excerpt..

It was along the Rom/Borg Border - Is it possible that the Borg AI captured a Rom AI? The Political tensions between Fed and Rom leave no room for Roms and Feds to be enemies.   Mission script thing?

Thrain - That's exactly what we're doing here - no rules - just fun blowing **** up, lol. I know I speak for Bonk and Josh when I say ..
THANK YOU. The Campaign idea is being tossed around, by the way.

This is mighty confusing... I think I'll have to login as fed to get a closer look at it to see what is going on. Gotta fix this one way or another. (And the planet thing and the D-CCX thing... lol, we're making progress though...)

 :goodpost:

And thank you. (Though all the hard work that Chris and his team put into the mod is what gives it that sparkle... and Josh's server is beastly!)

Hey guys.......

It's a mission script thing.   In convoy escorts or assaults, there are no allied races.  Try having a ally come into your space and then draft him into a convoy escort.  I guarantee he will be your enemy.   It's been like that since EAW....

Thank you Capt Jeff. Perhaps I'll just pull the convoy missions then, probably for the best.

Too bad if you have to pull the convoy raids. It was nice to see them again, even if just for a change of pace. Any chance we'll ever see the scout mission again? Great for PP farming... ;)

I am highly allergic to missions that do not draft a wing, I have lost too many ships on the Dynaverse to those missions. I can't count how many times my wing and I (both in DDs or CLs) are happily flying along in the same hex and one of us gets drafted by a DN or BB and gets destroyed or run off... defeats the whole purpose of flying with a wing. I found it very frustrating and annoying. I will not use 1vs1 missions on a server they favour the BB fest attitude way too much.

Got a new one that ought to get folks thinking. I ran 6 missions with Deadman-6 this morning and during that time (we were both Feds) my parts supply increased by ten each mission from 50 to maxed out at 100.  I had noticed it jump to 60 and then 80 when adfter 5 missions, DM-6 tells me that his 50 parts have disappeared. At this moment I check my supplies and see 100. Looking forward to any thoughts on this.

What ship was it? Was it purchased in-game or on the webyards?

MY ship was the F=VEN  the galaxy class venture, bought from the web shipyard. DM-6' ship was  a 1701-E sovereign If I recall right.

Thanks for the info.

My to do list includes:

 - Pull the convoy missions
 - Look into the D-CCX causing CTDs
 - Check the F-VEN for spares issues (possibly webyards caused).

(what have I missed or am forgetting?)

Just logged on as Ferengi for the hell of it. Please turn off mandatory missions for the races in cartel slots....

No can do, there is no mandatories switch for just the cartels. The issue the Father is experiencing is that cartels will get mandatories in hexes where the empire above them is an enemy. The only solution to this without removing mandatories altogether is to use a custom map that addresses the issue (such that enemy empires do not intersect/overlay cartel home territories).

Is there any possibility of getting a weapons chart for some of these new gizmos? What's a quantum phaser, and what type of damage does it do at various ranges? Or a poleron beam? etc... It would help when trying to decipher which ship you want to buy in the yard.  :help:

Wow it's not much fun flying Breen. 95% of the ships don't even have a phaser. Only some of them have hellbores/polerons. It's taking me 3 to 5 times longer to run the same missions as a Breeen compared to a Fed. I'd be in favor of trading some dizzies for a few phaser 4s to level the field.
