That is probably due to the massive BPVs of the objects you are defending... (Planets and Bases). I have the campaign set to admiral difficulty, I could try setting it to commodore to see if it improves this situation, but I fear it would make all the other missions too easy.

Odd... what race was that hex? Perhaps there is a shiplist issue as to why their planets were not produced in mission... Was it a NW or stock mission? It also might be the huge BPVs at work again...

Is it possible that some of the more nasty planets were removed?
That's what was done on KCW resulting in planetary assaults with FRD's and defense platforms, but no planet.

While flying Fed, I repeatedly drew Cardassian CLE AI mixed in with Borg opponents during planet defence missions. Cardassians are supposed to be fed allies.

Can the BSC+ ? starbases be beefed up? These bottom of the barrel bases are weaker than their orion pirate counter parts and really don't stand up well against any enemy.

This is much more fun than SFC3.

Edit:
The Feds are at tension 0 with the Mirak(Cardassians), and tension 1000 with the Gorn(Borg)... so thats cool...
The Gorns(Borg) are at tension 1000 with both the Mirak(Cardassians) and the Feds so that's cool...
The Mirak(Cardassians) are at tension 0 with the Feds and tension 1000 with the Gorn(Borg) so that's cool...

Looks like the relative tensions are set correctly for these three races... I have no explanation why this might be happening... Grrr.

Is this happening only in NW planet defense missions? Maybe the simplest thing to do is pull the NW planet assault and defense missions considering the issues...

I suppose it is possible that it is the right races but some of them have the wrong model for their race... or perhaps a cardassian ship slipped into the Gorn(Borg) list...

There is only one CLE in the shiplist in the Empire slots:
Gorn(Borg), B-CLE, assets/models/tng/hiresborg/borggalor/galor3.mod

There are two CLE's in the shiplist in the Cartel slots:
OrionOrion(Gorn), G-CLE, OPPLUS/models/gcl/gcl.mod
OrionPrime(Kzinti), Z-CLE, assets/models/zcl/zcl.mod

Lemme check the model for the B-CLE...

You say its a Cardassian CLE? I cannot fine one in the shiplist...

This is the model for the Borg B-CLE (an assimilated Cardassian ship by the look of it). Is that the ship you are seeing and is it showing up as the B-CLE? (which would be correct...)

That's the shape, but the textures looked normal to me,(browny/red) I'll keep an eye on it as planet defences seem a good way to get some decent PP. I don't recall what the race designation was so probably my bad.

the dominion ccx seems to crash me out in alot of missions dosent matter what mission it is. Most of the time ill be swooping in to deliver an alpha strike screen locks up and then im looking at my desk top. Dosent seem to be happening with any others i have flown.

The D-DAD dosent have drones in its first mission and isnt able to buy any either. It can after the first mission is run however.
