MagnumMan has completed the additions necessary to further debug the OP MySQL serverkit after our observations of the last test run.

I have tentatively scheduled a test run for Sat, Feb 11th 8PM EST, please vote to let us know if you can attend.

This depends on if KCW runs overtime, but it is expected to conclude this friday.

I will update this post with instructions and any changes as the test approaches.

It's also 11 pm PST. A tad late, but if that is when it is I can be there. A little earlier might be nice.

What shiplist/mission pack? Link would be nice

If a server were set up in advance so that people could make sure now that they will be able to connect when needed for the test it would be good. Allow at least a day or so in advance for the server to just be up so people can debug any connection problems. Myself I will probably set up an extra copy of OP just for the testing. The last time you did an impromptu weekend test I couldn't get the downloads right in time to be of any use.

Just my 2 cents and I hope to be there.

Sadly, I'll be out of town that night...May be available Sunday night though if things do not cooperate and you have a "Round 2" test.

I would love to participate--any thing possible to improve those "nagging" problems w/ the sql server kit that must be fixed to enable truly DYNAMIC campaign play through the use of sql.

If the random factors align, I should (?) have my new machine assembled and the rest of the home network "re-engineered" to include the new system.

My wifes box (1.5 ghz Amd thunderbird) will become the webserver, I have 5 static IP's and am only using 2 now. The webserver will make three. My buddy is upgrading one of his boxes as well, and may have some extra componants I can use to build a "Frankencomputer", which will be used to host an OP server, preferably w/ sql content that can be accessed by a web front end. My step brother has done web design and sql work, was a gamer, (not SFC though)...this could be a "project" for him to fiddle with.

If I get all my ordered components in by friday, I might be able to have it assembled and preliminary software installed by 7pm CST...if there are no unforseen problems that might pop up anytime you build it yourself. Last couple I built had "issues" that just took time to correct. So I am unable to commit fully to this test, though I want to really bad.

I'm curious as to what is being tested and how many we need for a successful test. Is this a load test or are we testing new features?

Load test and a test of the PvP DV shift code if MagnumMan has had a chance to incorporate it.

Judging by the numbers here I'll probably have to postpone it and hold some kind of multi-option poll...

Test cancelled. Unhandled exception on starting this build.

I'll try and figure out the cause to see if we can schedule another test of this build or whether its back to the drawing board.
