Well, I got the demo DVD, yes thats right DVD and played a small sample of this game and it puts Stars Wars: Rebellion to shame.

This is going to be one heck of a game to play.

I did get the demo at a local store here in Dallas.

the size of the demo:1500

When the game comes out on the 16th I will post sceenshots.

I can kill Victory class and another class DD w/ a whole boat load of Y-wings and X-wings and win. (in the demo)

ftrs being cheaper than ships are more effective. (just an observation w/ the game).

When I do get the real game I will give my opinions on the playability of the game and some screenies if able to make them w/ the full blown game.

This is basically Star Wars Rebellion (http://www.lucasarts.com/products/rebellion/overview.htm) redone.. and redone pretty well. I'm playing hell keeping the Empire in check, but just shattered 2 Star Destroyers and 23 Frigates over Endor. The turn before I destroyed 5 units of Storm Troopers on the surface.

You sir, are correct. It is Rebellion on steriods.

Just to add, I am playing the empire and kicking the rebels. I have taken Kuat and now able to build the SD.
and to add to that the Dreaded Death Star. MUHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!!!

I am playing the Rebels and just consolidated the western map. I am two systems from taking Kuat.

Rebel Infiltrators are some basadd units. Combined with a few speeders and heavy tanks, lookout.

My favorite is still the Airstrike..

I have taken most of the central area of the map and working out. I also just atarted to do a rebel game that the X-wings and Y-wings will rule the roost.

Which map did you start? I chose the Empire at War Map (25 planets), but I saw one with 40.

I just finished. Caught the Emperor and Vader at a shipyard (draws hand across throat). No more Empire.
