DarkElf has all but disappeared.

I may have a copy of this somewhere, I'll see if I can dig it up for you. It is a bit roundabout though as it is an executable that reads the flatfile then posts it to an SQL db which the php script then reads.

The flatfile webmap that I have (which you just tried to view - but it is not currently connected to a server db file - so I removed it from the webserver for now...) reads the OP flatfile directly. When I have finished work on the OP serverkit and scripting API and OP SQL server webmap I may look at creating a D3 flatfile webmap, but for now I'll see if I can dig up DarkElf's converter for you.

Thanks Bonk..... BTW you can disregard the first half of that last PM I just sent you... I did not see your post here!  DOH!!! lol

If you do have a copy of the D3 version I'd love to get a copy... I do remember when WT was going to use it on Unity, but they never got it set up right.  With Unity (Under new management lol) and a few other mods that I host it would be nice to give it a try again!  Thanks again!

Here are the current OP webmaps as they stand (sorry for the delay):

http://www.dynaverse.net/downloads/sfc2_op/Tools_and_Utilities/webmap_op_wips.zip

All the configuration parameters are in the mapcfg file for both maps, which I have generalised for this posting. It is geared for integration with an SMF forum. The SQL version requires the serverside shiplist to be placed in the root of the webmap folder for the webyards to work. (Geared for an SMF login). The IRC chat features will work if you use your own IRC server, gamespy has locked out other clients, but you could come up with a solution using peerchat_irc from Luigi Auriemma.

You should be able to strip the SMF integration features if desired. To adapt these to SFC3 will take a considerable amount of work, but if you are handy with a hex editor, mysql and php it should be doable. (I may yet get to it myself).

I'll keep digging around to see if I have a copy of DarkElfs D3 webmap setup.

Super!  Thanks Bonk... I'll play around with a conversion, but I'm a little weak in the php area lol.  Thanks for getting this together for me!

i'm not quite sure what he sent you, but I do know there is a flatfile webmap up right now for KCW and there is a SQL one on the forge which is also operating right now.

Thanks, Bonk got me a copy of both files...  I've checked out the KCW webmap, it looks pretty cool... and I've started a conversion from D2 to D3... doesn't look like much work on the SQL portion... have not look much at the flat file side... I'm scared too lol  thanks again!
