Perhaps you could decorate one base for the starfleet museum? Place some really old ships at it's docks.

That's a great idea, what ships did you have in mind?

Anything. Captured romulan  hulks from  tos, perhaps u could go  as  far  as brushing on burn  marks,  and cabbage,   minotaur stuff,  anything from that starfleet museum  site (DY's..hornets, wasps, deadalus)   just go nuts and see what happens. We knowthey probably pulled  the HMS bounty out of sanfansico bay, that could   go in there, depending on whata era you  intend  the bases  to be.

I am thinking more of TOS and Pre-TOS ships, I am torn on whether or not to use ships from the Enterprise series, that show butchered Trek so badly it leaves a bad taste in my mouth whenever I talk about it.  I especially didn't like the look of the Akiraprise they used on the show, did Berman and Co. even WATCH TOS?  The ship they used made the NCC-1701 look like a clunky ship, and it was supposed to be more advanced!  I'm getting carried way here back to  the topic, TOS and Pre-TOS ships I will be considering for the museum.
