Speak softly and carry a large stick.... I mean rock
« on: January 27, 2006, 12:53:19 pm »
Heh, sort of comical.  Flying a FCW, went into a patrol against a D7L and a D5W (WTF is up with that btw? A war destroyer against a war crusier and a CA???) got a F5C as an ally.  Couldn't think of a way to out gun the crusiers, so, I tried this.

Needless to say FCW + Asteriod > D7L + D5W

Oh.... the F5C had an "Accident" as well  :flame:

Wow, Braxton!  It didn't take you long to go from drone-chucker to rock lobber.

Well, that is a step up anyway.   ;D

Oh God, not this again . . .

The Random terrain in the EEK mission is bugged, you are not supposed to be able to do this.   Even stranger is that not every player in the mission sees that random terrain.

Do not try this in PvP.

Perhaps the EEK missions need to be retired for good after this server, anyone remember drowin X-ships in 2275 on the last SGO server?

what? we reflew it and i avoided the temptation to find a rock i could drag him into...He was a good sport about suppossed to be being dead and all, i just brought it up to remind folks that drafter's terrain in karnak's missions isnt always everyone's terrain.

Pull the EEK missions.   We do not have the code for the scripts and Karnak is MIA so he won't be able to fix it.

Yipe! This explains a few missions I had with t00l... He was going nuts yelling about rocks and tractors and whatnot in one mission over TS as I was buzzing around at 31 speed in the c7 in apparent open space... I then saw him tractor an AI into a invisible rock that he claims I traded paint with.   :-X

As an interesting side note, if you do have rocks like the one I had tractored there, the AI will shoot at it in medium formation heh.

On The Forge I'm back to stock and TG's latest missions only, not sure why the ED missions are not working on it (I think they may be upset by everyone being neutral to the Orions)... but the stock and TG ones are working fine.

Once the serverkit project is complete I'll look at getting into scripting myself, for now I think we may have sucked Dave back into it!  ;D So we might end up with a few more stable missions and new toys soon.

I remember flying with Hal'qor and seeing rocks which he didn't, now I know why.
